The Ministry of Man in the New Testament Age

Recently I read an article saying “the Levitical Priesthood represents Jesus”.

We need to look at this statement to see if it is scriptural, of God or man.

Please Read this Before we Begin. Scripture requires each individual to “Do not be Deceived”. So I caution you the remember to not believe what I or any Other man try to teach you until and unless it is confirmed to you PERSONALLY by scripture and the Holy Spirit of God as TRUTH.

The writer will answer for what he writes but only YOU will answer for what YOU believe.

The priesthood and its purpose

The priest represent Jesus??? They were the exact opposite of Jesus, they show the need for Jesus.

They were carnal man and grew continually more corrupt. Jesus was pure and uncorruptible.

They were of man. Jesus is of God.

At the time the people of God were being led to God and His ways by a most Godly man selected by God, Moses, they were being accountable to God for their actions and did not want to face God so demanded an intermediary, a man to intercede for them. So God gave them the priesthood and temple system. Now they could no longer meet with God wherever they were and must follow over 600 new rules and requirements under the priesthood and law. Also they would have to go to where the priests were, the tabernacle, to meet with them.

There was no mercy or grace under the priests, there were harsh punishments, death for so many things that Jesus replaces with love, mercy and forgiveness if you will repent. There was no room for forgiveness or mercy under the priests. The priesthood was God's way to show the people what would happen when carnal man (man without the Spirit of God) was in charge of representing God.

Later they demanded God give them a man king because they did not want God as King, they wanted a man they could see. God tried to make them see how evil the man appointed kings would become but they insisted they wanted a man so He gave them their desire and they got what God warned them they would get. Priests and Kings were not God's way, it was His way of allowing them and us to see that a carnal man leader between man and God will not turn out well for them because the heart of carnal man is evil, against the things of God. All this was part of the plan of the Lord God to prepare them to receive Jesus who He is sending. So the people could see the difference, that man as ruler under the law brought death and harsh consequences but God's desire which Jesus (filled with the Holy Spirit), is love and forgiveness to those that would bow their knee (submit To God not man), NOT FOLLOW man, but do things God's way so He would be able to bless them according to His requirements.

Yes, the priesthood held the same position in their age as Jesus does in our age, they were God's delegated authority for their age, but they in NO WAY REPRESENTED JESUS THEY REPRESENTED CARNAL MAN and were a warning to NOT follow carnal man, in place of the ONE that the words of God said would come. The Only man He will send as redeemer, to bring the opportunity for ALL man to redeem the eternal life that Adam so foolishly discarded by his disobedience. The only intermediary between God and man for this final age of man.

It was never God's desire for man to not have direct relationship with God ,

That was part of the punishment for rejecting God and demanding a man as go between. The law, priest hood and the kings were all punishment for rejecting God as Lord and King because they wanted man as an intermediary.

The entire old testament shows that no carnal man can be trusted with the things of God because they are hirelings ( they look out for themselves first and foremost), but the Man that was to come, Jesus, is not a hireling He bought and paid for us with His death and was resurrected because of His faith in God making Him worthy to be the intercessor man that the people want, but this time God was ready to finish with our temporary human existence and give everyone a last chance to accept Him as God and King, His way, by coming to Him through Jesus . The ONLY authorized man intercessor and no other way. And now that Jesus has come, He authorizes all of His brothers as disciples to make more disciples (sons), by bringing people to HIM..

ALL that will accept His way, Jesus alone as intercessor, no other man between man and God as Jesus requires, having all the authority of God in this age, is the only way to enter the eternal kingdom of God. There is no other way in this age, come in through the man Jesus Christ or no eternal life, but destruction in the lake of fire.

No man can serve two masters you either follow man or Christ. If you follow man then you are in satan's playground until you die (unless you repent and be born again), then you are destroyed in the lake of fire at judgment.

BUT if you follow Jesus only, at the judgment you will be changed into an eternal being and you will inherit eternal life to live with Him, God and all God's sons (male and female) in the eternal kingdom of God on the new earth.

The Priesthood of the new testament

There is a priesthood in this age, but as all things in this age it is a brand new and different way of doing things.

In this age there is no separate clergy, there is no building where you must go to meet God, there are no carnal (apostate) man involved in God's behalf, there are no man made programs in the kingdom of God on earth. There are only INDIVIDUALS that are sold out to Christ, are filled with the Holy Spirit of the eternal God, are led by It and do all Christ the Lord of this age requires of them while enduring the problems of living on this temporary earth until the end..

This is what and who the real disciples of Christ are: (You should read the whole chapter)

1 Peter 2:4-6 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Jesus is the only interface between man and God. The real INDIVIDUAL disciples of Christ are THE ONLY people authorized by Him to REPRESENT God and impart His Holy Spirit to others. Any other man, church system, denomination or group of any Kind is not authorized to represent God in this age of Christ the Lord. Any other way of receiving the holy spirit will anoint you with the false holy spirit of their false christ that scripture warns us to avoid as It is not the HOLY SPIRIT of God and Christ that one must possess to be a disciple of Christ and thus a son of God. If YOU pledge yourself ( are a member of) any church, man, denomination (division) or any other than Christ you cannot be a disciple of Christ, you are a disciple of that entity because no one can serve 2 masters and Jesus requires the He be the only one that His disciples follow.

The following scripture spoken by the Lord Jesus Himself, the Lord of this age tells us what His requirements to be His disciple are. It is His world and He sets the rules.

Matt 28:16-20 ¹⁶Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had appointed for them. ¹⁷When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted.

¹⁸And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹Go therefore^*and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

I did not show the scripture but you should be familiar with them where He previously stated that you must Repent and be born again to enter the kingdom of God. So many teach a partial Gospel, but the Gospel is a false gospel if the Whole Gospel is not included. And most teach that you only have to believe what they say to belong to Christ, or they have you repeat a silly prayer that has no eternal value. He says to be His disciple you must do all He commanded, taught and left His example for. Man have even corrupted the translation in many bibles to say that you only have do His commands, But the Greek word they mistranslate includes all these things.

So then who IS the ministry of this age. Since this word from Christ is given to His disciples and all who would ever desire to be His disciples that means it is given directly to me and you. This is who the ministry in this age is.

It says YOU GO wherever you go and YOU MAKE DISCIPLES of ALL the people you meet WHOEVER they are. There is no mention to go and sit and let a man to tell you his ideas about God.

YOU do not need that because if you are a disciple of Christ YOU have been taught all you need to get started because YOU are filled with and FOLLOWING the Holy Spirit of God who knows ALL truth.

We see it goes on to say YOU are to Baptize them in water, nothing about taking them to some place to have someone else can baptize them when he sees fit. No it says YOU baptize them and the pattern in scripture is as soon an you can find water deep enough to submerge them. And the same for YOU must baptize them in the Holy Spirit and the name of the Father. Then equally important YOU must teach them to observe ALL he requires of His disciples which they now are, and that is all He said to do or did. And last He tells YOU that He will go with you until the end of the age when the door to salvation is permanently closed. Do you see it, YOU as a disciple of Christ , are Filled with the Holy Spirit of Christ, which is the Holy Spirit of God. Because to be His disciple you have become as is Christ, of one Spirit with God. You have become a son of God and only the real sons of God can impart the Holy Spirit. Only they are the Royal priesthood, the Holy nation, you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.

YOU have led them to Christ alone, taught them to follow the Holy Spirit, and set them free to follow it. You did not take anything from them you gave as you have freely received according to scripture.

You did not make them dependent on you but on the Holy Spirit of God who alone can bring them all truth. You did all that Jesus requires of you as a son of God, congratulations.

But if you decide instead, to take them to a man made division of the churches of man where they follow man and go Into bondage to them instead of the freedom to follow the Spirit, YOU will have failed and will not enter the eternal Kingdom of God.

Remember these words Jesus also said.

Matt 7:13-14 "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. ¹⁴Because^*narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Luke 13:23-28

And He said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. ²⁵When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and He will answer and say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from,' ²⁶then you will begin to say, 'We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.' ²⁷But He will say, 'I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.'

The wide gate and path take you through the church system of man with all their permissive doctrines of man that are in the earth today. They lead you to the lake of fire and there is NO 2^nd chance there.

The narrow gate and path take you through the wilderness with Christ. They lead to your true inheritance as sons of God, you inherit the earth, the new earth and entry to the eternal kingdom of God on the new earth to reside there with God and His full family forever, ever.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH WISELY, FOLLOW THE RISEN CHRIST.
