The Miraculous Stories of Sangmeshwar Mahadev Temple Arunai near Pehwa in District Kurukshetra

Sangmeshwar Mahadev Temple Arunai near Pehwa in District Kurukshetra has unique Shivling.How this Temple came into existence has a miraculous story.

Guru Ganesh Puri came here with his two disciples. Here was only one hut where saints stayed. They stayed there . Once they went through the bushes they saw a big Ant Hill. They dug it with their Chimta.

There was a stone.They tried their best to draw it out.But it could not be drawn.They were noble saints and lord shivji wanted to give them a message through pind or stone.

Guru had dreamed and Lord Shivji said,"Do not draw it out and it is not a simple stone.Let me seated proper this place."They went that place and saw that a snake with its miraculous Mani on its head was clinging around the Shivling.Guru with his disciples cleared the bushes and other rubbish around the pind.They washed the Pind with the pious water of Ganga.

They seated Pind as Shivling and made a chabutara around that Pind.They promised to Shivji that they would serve it as their capacity.

With great devotion and labour they made a small Temple.Guru worshipped there till death.After his death his disciples took charge and worshipped with great devotion.

After the disciples death the three Shivlings were made as their identity as great devotees, pious hearted and blessed by Lord Shivji.First we can see these three Shivlings as it is seen in photo as under and after that we can see the discovered Pind as Shivling. These Shivlings show that Lord Shivji has much place for his devotees in his mind.He gives them above place from himself.

The second story of River Yamuna and Rishi Vishvamitar is Rishi Vishvamitar asked Yamuna to bring Vashishat Rishi through her flow.As both Rishis thought that one is greater than the other.

She brought Rishi Vashishat to Rishi Vishvamitar through her flow.But when she brought him then, Vishvamitar began to kill him.Yamuna annoyed at this activity of Viahvamtar and brought Rishi Vashishat back.This place was Temple compound.

Vishvamitar cursed Yamuna to fill with blood and other rubbish.So now the River Yamuna was a cursed river.The River Ymuna did Tapsya for salvation.Lord Shivji helped her.

He sent eighty eight thousand Rishis for Yagay of salvation for Yamuna.They did Yagay and met the Yamuna and Aruna River.This credit was gone to Lord Shivji.The meeting place and meeting lord between the two rivers the name of Shivji is called Sangmeshwar Mahadev and the place is called Arunai.

The third miraculous story is the couple of snakes appears on around the Shivling on Nagpanchmi day.They don't harm anybody.After worshipping they disappear.
