The Revealing

The Bible reveals Mystery Babylon is the world’s last ruling nation, it’s revealed in Daniel two, three and four along with the 17th and 18th Revelation. Throughout the book are types of that place that most Bible readers will never trace but still those revelation are almost everywhere to be understood by those who will take the dare. I’ve written about them in a poetic way so here’s one I’m sharing with you today.

Give Ear In Babylon

Babylon, Ooooh Babylon, why do you not hear?

You people within her, why do you sleep?

She has seduced the world, her end is near,

you people must leave her and can not creep.

She has caused much shame and heartache,

don’t you people feel the pain?

She has lured you in and closed the gate,

and you, man, have you no shame?

Her bars are not so strong they cannot be broken,

All you must do is press against her gate.

She has no strength, you’re just a prize token,

use your mind and get free before it’s too late.

A well-shaped and wonderful poem with a decent call for listening. Lovely!

Yes, Doris, I wrote my first poem of worth a love poem to the girl who became my first wife, I can't remember the title nor words now that it has been almost 57 years ago. "Give Ear In Babylon" was written during my two plus years between my new birth and my John the Baptist look from1981 to '84, "The Revealing," also a poem if you can see it, I wrote because of the name given to the Hub.

When you look at those two prophecies together they do point to the US as do so many of the events in the Bible. That is how I study the book, find a topic and read through it looking for things that means to see if they are also prophetic. One would be surprised how that opens up our eyes when we are Born Again.

Thanks for the complement, I'm pleased to know you enjoyed it although you may not agree. LOL

Elijah, I don't think I knew you were a poet. This is really good. I'll look up your verses in Daniel and Revelation. I know what the Christian evangelist prognosticator Jack Van Impe says about the U.S. being Babylon and what has been said about the U.S. being Atlantis reincarnated.

Thanks Eric, but aren't Psalms only poetry used is religious services? Almost all of my poetry would qualify for that.

That is what the poem you didn't get is talking about, how the US is Mystery Babylon (Dan. 2:35-45 & Rev. 17:15), how it will be destroyed (Dan. 3:18-24 & Rev. 18) with at Armageddon (Rev. 16:14-16) being there and how what happened tp Nebuchadnezzar (4:1-33) is about to happen to Trump so the Stone (messiah) not cut out by man will bring the peace before The Battle of That Great Day of God Almighty is fought to end the world.

Thanks John. Since it's late in this morning civilization, generally called end of the world, and I have quite a few on my website concerning the subject I thought I would provide them where people who have never been to my site can get them in peaces. I have a couple of others over there. The general topic I think I will make the series title and begin numbering them as I post them. After that, or maybe in-between, I will share some of the others.

      Thanks for your comment.

I like this one a lot. I like the poetry and message. Have not thought of Babylon for some time. I really like the history of Nebuchadnezzar and of course Daniel. I think maybe this is a psalm rather that a just poetry.

Ah, Elijah. How wonderful to read a poem by you, and about Babylon too. Very good rhyme scheme too. I enjoyed it.
