Who is Aries? How Does One Describe the Aries?
Aries is not just the typical, average sun sign. It is distinguishable by the first sign of the zodiac. Besides being the first sign, it has the distinction of being the first fire and cardinal sign of the zodiac. Being number 1 is embedded into the consciousness, mindset, and psychology of the Aries person. There is a pioneering spirit in the Aries personality. It does not mind being the first and/or only person to try to attempt something. It considers this as a badge of honor and mention.
Aries is ruled by Mars. Mars is identified in Roman mythology as the god of war. Coincidentally, in Greek mythology, Mars is identified with Ares. 1. Aries Isn't Afraid to be Different
Aries is not one to go along with the crowd. To him/her, the crowd represents nameless anonymity. The last thing that he/she wants to be is a nameless nonentity. The typical Aries has a very acute sense of self. He/she can be described as feeling very comfortable in his/her skin. He/she is not afraid of being an individual. He/she embraces, even relishes being a unique individual. He/she will not fade into the crowd.
Aries does not want to do what everyone else is doing. That is not his/her desire. He/she gets a rush from doing things that are different from what others are. It is not unusual for him/her to do things that no one else has done before. Being a trailblazer is an integral part of his/her personality. It is the desire of Aries to go against the societal consensus. Aries is the type of person who lives to test the limits. He/she is uncomfortable living within prescribed limits. His/her motto is the sky is the limit. He/she wants to live life to the limit and to go beyond societal boundaries as to how to live his/her life. He/she maintains that one should live one's life and adopt the lifestyle that one desires as long as it does not harm others. He/she does not believe in adhering to illogical, often inane prohibitions.
Aries loves to try things which others declare is forbidden. To him/her, there is no things that is forbidden or inaccessible. He/she believes that such labels are merely social constructs instituted to make people fearful of going beyond certain boundaries and/or limits. He/she feels that those who are go beyond prescribed limits become more knowledgeable and less parochial. He/she insists that abandoning prescribed paradigms and living without boundaries makes him/her more psychologically, even psychically aware.

Aries simply will not permit the more negative aspects of life defeat him/her. He/she is cognizant of the fact that there are some days that are better than others. However, despite there being bad days, he/she refuses to permit such days distract from the beauty and wonder that is life. He/she maintains that life is a mixture of positives and negatives and it is his/her responsibility to rebound from the negative and fully appreciate the positive.
Aries is undaunted by failure. Failure is just a detour on the way to more opportunity, even success in his/her mind. He/she realizes that failure is an integral part of life which one cannot avoid. He/she maintains that one has to approach and face life and its situations head on.
Aries contends that challenges is what tests one's true character. He/she argues that one can easily endure a stress-free, comfortable life; however, it is the challenges that tests one's psychological mantle. While weaker people become totally discombobulated when challenges and adversities occur, he/she becomes stronger and better for the experience.

To the Aries mind, taking risks are a part of life. In fact, he/she believes that taking risks are unavoidable. He/she maintains that risks are integral to growth, development, and change. He/she contends that without risks, one remains the at the same level. He/she insists that from the time one is born, he/she has to take risks in order to develop properly emotionally, mentally, physically, and psychologically. He/she observes that children habitually take risks as a part of evolving to the next level.
Aries asserts that the most crucial and/or important part of life involves some type of risk or another. He/she relates that risks are an unavoidable part of life.
