Ghushmeshwar Jyotirling is made on the name of his devotee Ghushma. Ghushmeshwar means the Eesh of Ghushma. Here's two identities of jyotirling. One is in Rajasthan State in Swai Madhopur in Shivad and the other is in Maharashtra in Daultabad in Velur. It is said that Shivlings of soil are found in that Jyotirling that is situated in Shivad in the Sarovar. These Shivlings are made by Ghushma.
The other Shivling is in Maharashtra in Daultabad in Velur. Lord Shivji is called the Lord of compassion. Ajanta and Ellora caves UNESCO's World Heritage is near this Ghushmeshwar Jyotirling. It is situated in cool and calm place.

Sudharma Brahman and his wife Sudeha lived on Devgiri Mountain. They were God loving persons. But they had no issue. So they were worried about this condition. Sudeha had a Young unmarried sister Ghushma. She suggested her husband to marry with her. She forced him to marry with her. In this way Ghushma was married with Sudharma. The three persons lived together. They loved each other.
Ghishma was the devotee of Lord Shivji. She had a routine to make 101 Shivlings and put them into the pond that is called Sarovar.

This Sarover symbolizes the pond where the devotee Ghushma put into the Shivlings.Everything was in well planned manner.
Ghushma gave a birth to a son. He was bringing up in a very affectionate environment. Every person was happy. All were the devotees of Lord Shivji. Ghushma made 101 Shivlings everyday and put them into the pond. Now the son of Ghushma was young. They married him with a beautiful girl. Ghushma was very happy. The daughter in law of Ghushma was courteous and affectionate lady.
On the other side Sudeha felt jealous. She thought that everything is for Ghushma.There is nothing for me. I am the only servant in the house. But Ghushma had no this type of feeling like misusing or enemity.
Sudeha had become a woman of criminal tendency. She made a plan of killing Ghushma's son. One night Sudeha killed Ghushma's son and put it into that pond where Ghushma put Shivlings.
Every person felt sad and crying . Formality sake Sudeha was weeping. Ghushma had deep faith in Lord Shivji. She never missed her daily routine. She made 101 Shivlings and went to the pond and put them into the pond and ready to return back.
Lord Shivji appeared there and her son was also went after her as nothing was happened. Lord Shivji felt anger on Sudeha and asked Ghushma, "What to do with Sudeha, as she had done with jealousy sake."Ghushma requested to forgive her. "I have got an opportunity to meet you." Lord Shivji wanted to kill her. But on the request of Ghushma, she was pardoned.
On the request of Ghushma ,Lord Shivji seated there as a Jyotirling. This Jyotirling was named Ghushmeshwar Jyotirling.
This Jyotirling is situated on a cool and calm place. We can find mental peace here. It is said that the couples who have no issues can gain the blessings with issues by taking the bath into the Ghushmeshwar Sarovar.
Jyotirlings are the special boon of Lord Shivji that is given to all for the welfare of human kind through his devotee.
