The good and the bad of online groups
Being aware

The internet can certainly be a great place to meet like minded people. There are many great Christian groups where we can come together and fellowship as one.
Many times people have prayed for one another, many times people have been encouraged and helped. It is amazing to meet and speak with so many children of God from all over this world of ours. It is amazing how the great distance between us all is made smaller by the internet.
However, there is also a negative side to this. There are also people in these Christian groups that are not as they may appear to be. There are some people who know the word of God inside and out, they post scripture, they post good teaching, they speak as one who has vast knowledge; however, these people are controlled by the enemy, they manipulate, they lie. They do this for a purpose that does not line up with the word of God.
Remember, the enemy knows the bible from beginning to end, he knows every word of it.
The enemy seeks to destroy and he will use whatever and whomever he can. He will come dressed like a sheep and he will use wolves and clothe them as sheep.
We must beware of this.
The Lord will speak to us and warn us, but we must be willing to listen and then we must obey, or suffer the consequences.
Our emotions can lead us astray, we may meet a person online who we like, everything may seem great, but when the Lord warns us to be careful, we must listen no matter how we feel.
Now that being said, there is another very important thing that we must do, and that is pray. We must pray for ourselves and for God's will to be done in our lives, but we must also pray for that individual who is being used by the enemy.
There is hope, mercy, grace and forgiveness for everyone. So let us pray for us all, those who are saved and those who are not.
Let us show the Love of God to all...be the beacon that shines in the darkness.
God bless you <3
Matthew 10:16
King James Version (KJV)
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Matthew 7:15-20
New King James Version (NKJV)You Will Know Them by Their Fruits15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
1 Thessalonians 5: 17-27
17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks : for this is the will of God in Christ Jesusconcerning you. 19 Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; holdfast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peacesanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless untothe coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 25Brethren, pray for us. 26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss. 27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
King James Version (KJV)
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
