The true sons of God
The fallen angels who were sons of God
1. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
The book of Genesis gives an account of the angels who fell on account of taking to wives the natural women. It is forbidden for the angels to marry or to give into marriage, and since they were hybrid (half human and half spirit) they were capable of making offspring. They were called the sons of God and were given roles, responsibilities and an estate; however, they did not keep their appointed estate but became corrupted and wicked angels. Now who are the sons of God according to the church age? Not all of the children of God are the true sons of God, and not all who say, “Lord, Lord, shall inherit eternal life.
The first stage, being called sons of God
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
At this point, we are becoming the sons of God each and every day. Some may say, “Are we not the sons of God now?” Well, it is God’s love that has been bestowed upon us that we should be called the sons of God. For this to be so, a transformation must first take place within us, yes even within our mortal bodies and eternal souls. Are we not at this moment looking up for Christ to be revealed from the clouds? Of a surety I may say, but at the same time we must be waiting for Christ to reveal within each one of us who are the called before the foundation of the world. The manifestation of the glory of Christ must reveal at the moment of the new birth. Nevertheless, this transformation is working on the inside when we receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost; at this point we still have some transformation to take place in our lives. Remember when the apostles walked with Christ? They had the comforter walking with them, but he told them that he will not leave them comfortless, but will send him the comforter down after he was taken up. Christ gave them the word while he was with them, truly, he taught them the word, yet at this point they needed the Holy Ghost who will abide with them forever. They received the baptism of the Holy Ghost when the day of Pentecost was fully come. Now did not Jesus inform the disciples that they shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost comes upon them? The received the power when both the word and the Holy Ghost connected, then they became bold witnesses, they had the anointing to do what God called them to do, heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead and so on.
The children of God must first go through all manner of trials and temptations, the children of God must be those who will overcome the world, overcome all the test that the enemy puts in front of them, overcome the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life; this will reveal who the sons of God are, this will prove who are the children of Christ and who are the children of the devil, this will separate the wheat from the chaff, this will prove who are the real overcomes. We must examine ourselves first, prove all things. We must examine ourselves to see whether we be in the faith. Are you willing to go through the fire, are you willing to be lied on, talk about, mocked, laugh at, scorn? Are you willing to go through the testing as Christ went through? Even as he suffered in the flesh the bible says arm yourselves with the same mind, yes even as Christ suffered in the flesh what make you think that you won’t suffer, what make you think that you won’t go through, what make you think you will have it easy in this life. Are you really refined; have you been tried and tested, and if so then you have come out as that of pure gold?
Stage 2, overcomers as true sons.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
The words of Jesus coming from his word without contradiction, he that overcometh shall do what? Inherit all things, and then will he become the son of God. We must be willing to suffer a little while, some of us may fall, some may stumble and some may turn back, but it is all just a test, they will come back, they will be lifted back up, they will get back on their feet, it is only to see whether we are fit (ready now for the kingdom) or will we be ready later before his comes. God is preparing his house to be made fit for his kingdom, God is shaping, refining, mending and proving us to be the sons he has is calling before we were in our mother’s womb, sons of the kingdom, sons of the living God.
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, smith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
We are looking for the glory of the latter house because the glory of the latter house will be far greater than the glory of the former house. This is what Jesus meant that we shall do greater works than these; do you know what the greater works are? The greater works of God’s house is far beyond working miracles, yes it is leading his people to make the new birth, and it is leading the church to perfection. God’s people will do mighty signs and miracles in the last days than the former days, for the mantle of Elijah will fall on the chosen vessels to do mighty works.
Stage 3, the manifestation of true sons....
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
This is the earnest expectation of the creature, that’s us, waiting for the manifestation (revealing) of who are truly the sons of God. Are you truly the sons of God; are you the vessels fitted for destruction? Some are unto honor and some are unto dishonor, prove your own selves, prove all things.
I John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is
Beloved, now at this point, after that we have been truly born again, after we have overcome all things, after we have truly put on Christ Jesus, crucified the flesh, restrained from the world, put to death all habits from drinking and smoking, put away all lying, and have put on the mind of Christ, now are we the sons of God. Yes, at this point we know we are the sheep of God, at this point we know we are the beloved, now are we being revealed the true servants of Christ, now are we ready to be rapture up to glory. For the first stage of heaven starts with the Holy Ghost, another stage is having the word of God written on the tables of our hearts, another stage is walking in newness of life, and another stage is true obedience to his will. What is his will? His will is his word, how can you know his will without first know his word? Many would rather run from the word, don’t you know you need the word as well as the Holy Ghost? Don’t you know you need to be taught the word in order to overcome? Get into the word, study, let the word shape you. Jesus said in St John 15:3 now are you cleaned through the word which I have spoke unto you. It’s the word that’s going to clean you up, it’s the word that the Holy ghost will bring back to your remembrance, it’s the word that will stop us from sinning in this life, it’s the word, the word of God that is sharper than any two edge sword, it’s the word that will come back and judge man on that day, it’s the word.
Are you truly born again, are you truly born of the water and the spirit?
I John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Whoever is born of God is truly free from sin as the writer states here in this passage. Some may argue this fact saying, “How can this be?” very simple, this is when God makes his abode; this is when God himself come in and make his abode with us. This is only when we have kept his commandments, this is when we have overcome the flesh, and this is when we are truly born of God.
St John 14:23
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Are you feasting on the word or just feasting on nothing?
Some will rather feast on things which have no merit on their soul salvation. the truth is not going to just come to you so easily, you must have a ready mind to seek after it earnestly and sincerely by attending bible studies. If your soul hungers for truth, will you let it starve? How can you know God and not know his word? If you hunger and thirst after righteousness you will be blessed. There are a lot of truths that the many pastors didn't touch up on, sadly, I could have avoided so many road block if I knew then what I know now. I 've been through all manner of tastings and trials, so I know what it takes to help others avoid going in the wrong direction.
