The world would have been better if there are Christians on earth

Updated on August 18, 2011

May be the world would have been better if there are Christians on earth.

There are many questions that need answers because it seems we cannot always find globally acceptable answers to all questions. A friend published a hub on demons possession of people and how it can be cast out by prayers. He said, he witnessed such deliverance in which a demon was cast out of a boy. Luckily enough I came across the hub when I already had it in mind to write this hub because of what is written in the bible about such things.

Some people think I am a non-conformist because I ask questions and say things the way I think it should be even when it is not expected to ask questions. For instance someone recently commented on my hub and said that it seems I want to discredit the bible. That goes to confirm that some people do not expected humanity to question what they do not understand or what they disagree. They want everyone to follow them and be led like fools that cannot reason for themselves or what?

Just like I told the man that claimed to be a Christian, I question those doctrines that claim that any religion or religious sect is superior to the other. This is because I know that differences exist and the earlier we break such barriers the easier we can co-exist in peace and unity. I also told the man that Christians have already discredited their bible by their diversity and doctrines as each sect want are a few, if any, Christians left on earth and even those that are true Christian may not be known as Christians. They may be known by others names but how do we know the Christians even if the go by any other name?

Mark 16:16-18 “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

The above statement was what Jesus told his followers but we know that such signs are relatively few even those that can perform some of the signs are called false prophets that came to deceive people. This is because some Christians claim that the days of miracles are over while some do not even believe in miracles. These are usually those Christians that cannot perform any miracle. Funnily enough even those Christians that believe in miracles do not show these signs. The command was that the sign will follow “those who believe.” It did not say some of them. However, it will not be a surprise to hear reasons why such signs are no longer possible. This is because we always find reasons to justify our stand.

The hub by a friend prove that some Christians can, at least, still cast out demons but we know that not all Christians buy that and some Christians do not even believe in demons or ghosts.

It is said that Christianity has the largest followers (millions of people claim to be Christians) but the world would have been better if there are these many Christians that show the signs Jesus mentioned. Unfortunately, it is those in the various mystic groups that claim to posses these powers. Why not since many things were lost and the truth hidden from the crowd and now men no longer know the real truth. Men may never know the real Christians who were promise the mysteries of the kingdom of God.

Most religious men of this generation are men of hate speeches, killing, judgmental, condemnation, and much talking so how can they be linked to the sources of all powers or even believe it exist.
