To Lose Faith is not losing God

My title is probably going to stir up a mixture of emotions but maybe by the time my blog is through, we will all have the same idea of what faith really is to each of us!

When I hear someone say " dont lose your faith" I hear that one should not think negative and to keep optimistic thoughts! What I dont read into it is that one will stop believing in God because of the trials and stress!

The next word that comes to mind is back-slide! As a southern baptist growing up in North Carolina, that word was bothersome!! To turn your back on God?? To maybe slide back away from God? Now you see as teens it is very easy to do, however a true believer in God is not really backing away from God but maybe just not looking to him!

All in all we believers could mince words the day long, but what we as a witness for God needs to do is try to keep peoples faith and hope up so that they can feel,see, and touch the spiritual hand of God!

Life is tough at times and many I have known have lost faith in mankind, themselves, jobs and sometimes their church! Staying close to God, looking toward God made for restored faith in themselves and the courage to make change in the above mentioned!

Being a child of God, a christian or believer in God , does not imply perfection, in fact it would be more accurate to describe us as imperfect but staying close to him  so that he can touch us and make us the better person that our father knows we can be! Honest, compassionate, helpful and kind are among some of the words to best describe what a father wants from his children!

So never fear, when you feel low and losing faith in many ares of your life......Look to God for the love and understanding, stay close to him for his spiritual hugs and listen for him as he has your best interest at heart! It may take time to completely unravel to you his wishes.....but the answers will come.

During the low periods within your life, it is best to try to be around positive people with the love of God with them..........His love is also contagious!
