True Faith Is The Heart Of The Gospel
There are things in this world that can not be trusted, but God can always be trusted. By faith we are learning each day how to please God. Faith is the heart of the Gospel.
Romans 1:17 ~ "For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes in revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith ~ disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith. As it is written, the man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith." Amplified Bible.
Habakkuk 2:4 ~ "Behold the proud; his soul is not straight or right within him; but the rigidly just and the uncompromisingly righteous man shall live by his faith and in his faithfulness." Amplified Bible.
We fashion and live our lives by faith. How are we going to live our life by faith? Real faith equals a hope and a future with and through Jesus Christ.
- True faith is the assurance that the unseen God has control over all of our life.
- True faith helped Noah save his family from the flood.
Hebrews 11:7 ~ "[Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned of God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family. By this [his faith which relied on God] he passed judgment and sentence on the world's unbelief and became an heir and possessor of righteousness, [that relation of being right into which God puts the person who has faith.]" Amplified Bible.
Not everything that happens to you is not always something you want to happen to you. Every struggle you go through God has a purpose for it. It's not that we should try to get rid of it, but it's how you get through it. The more we live by faith the stronger our faith becomes. Jesus Christ is the 'lead' and not the 'subordinate.' Allow Him to lead and guide you in life.
Because of faith Noah took it day by day, week by week and month by month. God lead him on for 100 years to build an ark for him, his family and the animals. He believed in God through faith. And through faith, you can do big and great things as well. God honored Noah's obedience to Him. It had never rained on earth before but Noah had the faith to believe and God honored him for his faith. Thus his family was saved from the destruction and devastation that occurred as a result of the flood.
We all have choices in life to make and having faith is a choice we make. It's so much better to live a life that is lead by faith.
- True faith helped Noah save his family from the flood.
- God will reward those that live for Him by faith in Jesus Christ.
- Faith is the only human response that pleases God.
- Faith will lead us into a lifestyle that is greater than life lived on our own.
- So what are you waiting for?
Your life is not an accident or you 'just happened' by chance. You were planned to be here on earth by God and He has a plan for your life. True faith is not a pie in the sky. It is not delusional. True faith attaches us to a supernatural God who wants to reveal Himself to people. True faith is not stopped by human limitations.
Hebrews 11:8-12 ~ "[Urged on] by faith Abraham wen he was called, obeyed and went forth to a place which he was destined to receive as an inheritance; and he went, although he did not know or trouble his mind about where he was to go. v.9 [Prompted] by faith he dwelt as a temporary resident in the land which was designated in the promise [of God, though he was as a stranger] in a strange country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs with him of the same promise. v.10 For he was waiting expectantly and confidently, looking forward to the city which has fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder is God. v.11 Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] Who had given her the promise, reliable and trustworthy and true to His word. v.12 So from one man, though he was physically as good as dead, there have sprung descendants whose number is as the stars of heaven, and as countless as the innumerable sands on the seashore." Amplified Bible.
True faith may lead us to times of sacrifice.
Hebrews 11:17-19 ~ "By faith Abraham, when he was put to the test ~ that is, while the testing of his faith was still in progress ~ had already bought Isaac for an offering; he who had gladly received and welcomed [God's] promises was ready to sacrifice his only son, v.18 Of whom it was said, Through Isaac shall your descendants be reckoned. v.19 For he reasoned that God was able to raise [him] up even from among the dead. Indeed in the sense that Isaac was figuratively dead (potentially sacrificed), he did [actually] receive him back from the dead." Amplified Bible.
God promised to Abraham that he and Sarah would have a child. It was promised to him twenty-five years earlier than the child was born. They named the child Isaac which means 'to laugh with joy.' It also means 'child of the covenant' and 'child of the promise.' Sometimes the promise may take awhile to transpire but it will eventually come to be. Abraham took his son to Mt. Moriah to sacrifice him to God. When he arrived to the spot for the sacrifice to take place at, God had provided a ram for the sacrifice instead of Isaac being the one sacrificed. Just as God provided His Son Jesus Christ to be a sacrifice on Calvary for you and for me.
At times God allows us to be tested. He will test our faith to make it grow even deeper and stronger in Him. True faith equips us to face life's problems and prevail. There are times we question and doubt as to whether or future is sure. Sometimes the enemy comes after us to come against us and sometimes the enemy is ourselves. We are overcomers through a living faith in Jesus Christ to overcome everything and anything that comes against us.
1 John 5:4 ~ "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world ~ our faith."
When Peter was walking on the water he had the faith to believe that he could that was until he doubted and then he sank into the water. Jesus Christ asked him, "Why did you doubt?" It is through faith that we will make it through the storms of life that come our way.
Things To Think About:
- We become people of God's presence through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Faith is the only way to please God.
- True faith will save our household and change the world.
- To him who overcomes will be given the right to eat from the Tree of Life.
- Let's be more than conquerors.
Thank you for living a life of faith.
