Truths About True Disciples of Christ that Everyone Should Understand

Most people that profess to be Christians do not really understand what a True Disciple of Christ is, the requirements, the responsibilities and the job they are required by Christ to do.

We will look at what these requirements are and what would happen to the world in a few short months if every person professing Christianity understood and DID all that is required of true disciples of Jesus Christ, the son of God.

First we must Look at What Jesus said is required to become a disciple of Christ

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

John 3:5-7 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'

Matt 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have taught and shown you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

Unfortunately there is a multitude that do not understand these words of Christ. This is the summation of what a true disciple of Christ must be and do. I will not discuss being born again here as I have several articles that explain it available on this site.

Here I would like to mention that the term Christian is not of God or Christ, it is a term that was used by some people in Antioch in reference to the disciples of Christ and therefore is not actually a scriptural term. Acts 11:26 And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

The correct name of those that truly follow Christ is disciples of Christ. Today anyone that says they believe in Jesus call themselves Christians, but most of them do not realize they are not really disciples of Christ because they do not know or do all that is required of a disciple of Christ.

According to the above scriptures to become a disciple of Christ YOU, the individual, you yourself, must do all that Jesus told us to do and all that He did as as example for us or we cannot be His disciple.

You MUST be born again

You MUST be baptized in water

You MUST be baptized in/with the Holy Spirit of God

You MUST MAKE disciples of Christ

This is not talking to some clergy, or some “church”, this command is to each individual that wants to be a disciple of Christ. If you have never made a disciple of Christ you cannot be a disciple of Christ because you have not done all Christ has said you must do..

Please note that since this is talking to You as an individual, it does not count is if you have brought someone to “church” to be born again and baptized by someone claiming to be a minister of God. In this age there is no such thing as clergy or what is commonly called “church”, all disciples are to do the work of the ministry which is making disciples of Christ. You can see this in the book of Ephesians.

1 Peter 2:5-6 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

Rev 1:5-7 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

There is not one scripture in the new testament, which governs this age we live in, that tells you to bring anyone to “church” or to “the clergy” for any reason, because there is no such thing found in the new testament.. The work of the ministry is in the hands of the saints in this age. There is scripture that tells you to bring someone to the elders, which are not men controlling what you do but simply men that are anointed by God, not man, that are servants of all, to be healed if you do not have the understanding or faith to do it yourself as you are supposed to, and here is the proof of this statement.

Mark 16:17-18 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

John 3:2-3 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." 3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Do you see it yet? These are the most important things you will ever learn in this temporary human lifetime.

EACH INDIVIDUAL DISCIPLE OF CHRIST IS REQUIRED TO DO ALL OF THESE OR YOU ARE NOT A DISCIPLE OF CHRIST. And Only the disciples of Christ, those who are the sons of God, whose names are found in the Lamb's book of life, will be allowed entry to the eternal kingdom of God. All others are cast into the lake of fire to destruction.

Now you should understand these additional things that are required of a disciple of Christ.

You MUST baptize those disciples you make in water and the Holy Spirit

(of course you cannot baptize them in the Holy Spirit, the Lord of this age Jesus must do it but you are responsible to see they understand this is a requirement of being a disciple of Christ and give any aid they need in receiving)

You MUST trust God to protect you if someone tries to poison you. Yes it does happen today esp if you teach truth that exposes the work of man as disciples must

You MUST lay hands on the sick believing that they will be healed

You must also do all else as he has done in the example He set for us

John 13:15-17 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them

1 Peter 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

In other words you MUST DO ALL HE REQUIRES OF YOU if you want to be His disciple.

Then once you become a real disciple of Christ YOU MUST make disciples of Christ for Him.

What would happen if all those who profess to be Christian were actually real disciples of Christ.

Let me show you what would happen. There is no other way this can happen except by those professing to be of Christ actually becoming disciples of Christ. This means YOU and ME.

If each man ( remember we are all man and man comes in male and female versions) would do all that Jesus Christ the Lord of this age requires and makes disciples of Christ.

If one man makes 1 disciple of Christ each Month and teaches each of them to do the same, this is how it would affect the world, this shows how many man will become a disciple of Christ in one year from that one man fulfilling his commission from Christ.

The first month there will be one new disciple, the second month there will be two new disciples, the third 4 , the fourth 8, the fifth 16, the sixth 32, the seventh 64, the 8^th 128, the ninth 256, the tenth 512, the eleventh 1024 and the twelfth 2048. A total of 4095 disciples as a result of only one person making 1 disciple of Christ per month for a year and each doing the same thing.. Remember this is growing every month by doubling each month if each is making one new disciple. So that for two years the total would not be 8190 but would be as follows. The thirteenth month 4096, the fourteenth 8192,the fifteenth 16,384, , the sixteenth 32,768, the seventeenth 65,536, the eighteenth 131,073, the nineteenth 262,144, the twentieth 524,288, the twenty first 1,048,576. the twenty second 2,097,152, the twenty third 4,194,304 and the twenty fourth 8,388,608 for a grand total of 16,793,599 new disciples of Christ in two years as the result of ONLY ONE disciple of Christ doing all Jesus requires at the rate of one new disciple a month.

Let me show you the result of one man making only 1 disciple of Christ for each year of his life for only 30 years of his USA life expectancy of 76 years. Say he is born again at 30 years of age. The totals are age 30= 1, age 31 =2, age 32=4, age 33=8, age 34=16, age 35=32, age 36=64, age 37=128,age 38=256, age 39=512, age 40=1024, age 41=2048. age 42=4096, age 43=8192, age 44=16,384, age 45=32,768, age 46=65,536, age 47=131,072, age 48=262,144, age 49=524,288, age 50=1.048.576, age 51=2,097,152, age 52=4.194,304, age 54=8,188,608, age 55=16,277,216, age 56=32,354,432, age 57=64,708,864, age 58=129,417,728, age 59=258,835,456 age 60=517,670,912. for a total of 1,030,779,823, that is one billion, 30 million,seven hundred and seventy nine thousand and nine hundred and twelve new disciple of Christ because of one man that made only one disciple a year for only 30 years of his life.

Now lets look a little closer. The best information I can find at the time of writing this article shows that according to the population clock there are approximately 7.6 billion people on the earth today.

7,600.000.000 people divided by one disciple making 0ne disciple a year for two years, we will round the number down from 16.793,699 to 16,500,000 to make it easier to work with.

7,600.000.000 divided by 16,500,000 is approximately 460. Which shows us that if we could find 461 man that would do all that Jesus requires of them at the rate of making 1 disciple a month for ONLY 2 years EVERY person on the earth would have to opportunity to become a disciple of Christ IN ONLY TWO YEARS. Not all will respond positively, but all would be afforded the opportunity to accept or reject (become personally accountable) to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Or we could reach the entire population of the earth in thirty years with only 8 man making one disciple of Christ each year for 30 years. Why has this not happened if all of the estimated 2.2 billion that profess to be followers of Christ, those called Christians are actually disciples of Christ?

If each of them was a true disciple of Christ, thereby able to make disciples of Christ, it would only take each one making less than 4 disciples each to reach the entire 7.8 billion occupants of the earth.

If you know me I tell it like it is, no beating around the bush, no soft peddling, just the straight truth. Whether you like it or not, believe it or not the truth is the truth and this is proof that the church system of man does NOT make, is in fact, incapable of making, disciples of Christ. They can only duplicate what they are, disciples of their “churches”, designed by, run by and controlled by men that make disciples unto themselves and their churches. Yes there are people that for whatever reason have stayed in the system after seeing and believing these truths but they received the truth from their personal relationship to the Holy Spirit and not from the |”church system”.

No “church” of men has ever or ever will ever be able to reach this goal. And all this can be done without a multi million dollar edifice dedicated to honor a mere man and his work. It can all be done with no buildings, no employees, no collections, no fancy education, no salaried hirelings, no money, even without ANY HELP except Spiritual help from the Holy Spirit. All this is done as a free work of love of Jesus Christ for bringing him, the one man, the opportunity to have eternal life. Thereby showing and proving that His (God's) ways are higher and more productive than the ways and means of men who have built the church system that tries duplicate the one that God shut down at the cross of Christ because it was unable to do the work of God. He replaced it with a brand new way and age, never before seen by man, headed by His son, the only man that could meet the qualifications to end the old way (and age) and institute the new and better way for God to interact with man. He gave this son all of His authority and power on heaven and earth to use during this the final age of man. To be returned to God at the end of this age when God will receive back and forever retain all of His power and authority and again be all in all, and for eternity in the kingdom of God. God himself will no longer reside away from his children in heaven but will join them on the new earth He will provide, where there is not and never can be any unrighteousness. When the new heaven and earth arrive God and His throne will leave His home in heaven and move to the new Jerusalem to live on the new earth in His great new kingdom with his sons for eternity. The disciples of Christ are not going to heaven, the sons never go anywhere they simply inherit the earth as scripture declares, God is coming to join us on the new earth.

Ps 25:12-13 Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. 13 He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth.

Ps 37:9-11 For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,

But it shall be no more. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Ps 37:22 For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off

Rev 21:1-4 Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Rev 21:9-11 "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife." 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

Rev 21:22-27 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

This should prove to you how ineffective the churches of men and the men who run them are in comparison to the church of this age if it were correctly understood by those desiring to be the disciples of Christ instead of followers of apostate men that think they know better than God about how to go about His business. Remember, to be able to believe and teach false doctrines, you must have been sent a strong delusion from God because you refused to desire the truth, and chose to believe the lie. The true church of Jesus Christ is simply ONE by ONE each REAL Disciple of Christ, doing ALL He requires of of each of His disciples.

Who do you follow? Are you a disciple of Christ or of man. Remember ONLY those that are truly disciples of Christ shall inherit the earth and the new earth to live for eternity with God and our Savior Jesus, His son in the eternal Kingdom of God.

Choose this day who you will follow.
