Orientation of a bedroom

Orientation of a bedroom depends on as to whom the bedroom is being placed for.

The bedroom of the owners of the house should be placed in the South-west.

The children's bedroom should be placed in the South or West.

The bedroom for newly wedded couples should be placed either in the North-west or South-east.

The bedroom for marrigable daughters should be placed in the North-west direction.

Pregnant women should not stay in a bedroom located in the North-east. This may lead to miscarriage or abnormal delivery.

Vastu compliant interiors for bedroom

In all cases bed should be so placed that while sleeping one's feet are facing either the North or West. One should not point feet towards the door while sleeping.

One should never sit or sleep below a beam.

Keep the North-east corner of the bedroom free of any kind of clutter.

Don't hang pictures of wild animals, fighting scenes, fire scenes, and dead creatures.

Don't place shoes below your bed. Also don't store waste material or any form of clutter below the bed.

Avoid keeping aquarium or fountains in the bedroom.

The windows should be placed in the East or North.

The interiors of the bedroom should be in colours like pink, light green, light blue and light purple. Do not use too dull or too sharp colours for the bedroom.
