Wait On The Lord, Like The Eagle

Updated on February 24, 2021

Lessons To Make Men Wise

Are you one who loves Jesus and seeks to walk and talk with him? If your answer to that is yes I hope this word will speak to you. I feel like God sees our hungry heart and longs to guide us into deeper things. However, if you're like me you've probably found that you need some lessons to light your way.

I love to shine the light of Christ for any who look for it. His love is tender and his heart is always beckoning to our heart to come and rest in him.

Wisdom. The word of God teaches that a man who rules over his own spirit is wiser than the man who takes a city. To find that gentle and victorious life we invited to discover the freedom of the spirit. It's heavenly. And self control is a key heart fruit to help us to prosper in our quest. Our heart motive is so important and it needs refining. It's wise to cultivate listening ears because our desires are often contrary to his and we need his steady guidance. He wants to help us to resist temptations to get waylaid by self agendas. We must be like clay in the hands of the Potter.

We are to seek his heart, not seeking power to impress men or lord it over people, we're seeking the sweet love of the Lord. His love for people is so deep and it's set to redeem hearts and lives. We're all needing wisdom from his heart because no man is able to rule over anything until he has conquered his own soulish emotions. We need our core beliefs renewed and set in order with his ways.

Here's a good lesson

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge"

Another good lesson that comes to my mind right now is "Patience will have it's perfect work." I've learned in my own life walk that impatience is my enemy.

We all love the scripture about the eagle.

"Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord

will renew their strength.

They will soar on wings like eagles;

they will run and not grow weary,

they will walk and not be faint."

Can you see that there's a cause and effect principle instruction in this? We can't just take off and fly with what we know. We will get wearied. We will stay grounded. We need deep training. Wisdom guides us in his way. Waiting times give us rest. Rest gives us strength. With discipline we will get quiet and listen with our ear alert to his voice. Then we can master the frustrations of waiting and Holy Spirit will rule. Soon we will trust him in the deep places and we can catch a wind and lift off into flight.

Proverbs 20:26
The LORD is the one who directs a person's steps. How then can anyone understand his own way?

God loves us with an everlasting love and when he rules we live in great peace and pleasantness. The victory was gained by Jesus at the cross of Calvary. Praise God for his indescribable gift, Holy Spirit, who lives within. He is our guide into all truth and victory over life's trials. He is the revealer of Jesus. When he does things his way he always causes triumph! It's for our good and for the profit of very many.

Worship, in spirit, and in truth

The plans of the enemy of our soul is to distract, discourage and weary the saints. But God says "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Isaiah 41:10
