We proclaim Jesus

Updated on August 23, 2009

I'm Prepared

We proclaim Jesus, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me.

Colossians 1:28-29 NIV

If we proclaim to be Christians, then we can proclaim Christ, we can  teach others with all everyone can be perfect in Christ.

Most of my life I always wanted to be like someone, everyone says I'm like my mother but as much as I love her I still want to be like Christ..and proclaim his name to everyone in the world.

I don't do alot of fellowship with other christians outside my home except when I'm in church on seems to bring me alive the rest of the day. I have felt drug down, defeated and poured out the last few months..but I'm still proclaiming Christ.

I wish alot of times my church would notice one's that are not noticed in church, if one is missing one sunday my older church in Michigan would call to see whats up, not my church now, but maybe they have lots on their plates right now.

As each day goes by and each trial comes, I am prepared as far as God is concerned because I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.

Hi Betty...It is not hard to get lost in a Church nowadays. Yes Churches are busy and we understand that but we are all accountable to each other. Should you quit writing from the heart the way that you do we would miss you. I assume that your Church has a network of cells or groups, if so join in with one of them, that is where the real ministry takes place. Keep writing Betty of your relationship with Christ as it is a true blessing.

Hello my love and blessings!!! I understand what your going through and I have been through the same thing in churches. I have finally came to the point where I personally take authority in some matters that concern me at the church now! Even though I am a Pastor I go to get feed at a church myself and seen things that I did not understand why it goes on, and one was the same thing you were talking about when someone doesn't come to church and no one calls to see if they are alright!!! GREAT HUB my love!!!

It is the reason we exist at all, to be more like the One who created us. Look at it like this. We strive to be like our earthly parents, as long as they have good qualities, we want to be like them. Look like them and have people say, oh she is so much like her mother, or I see him in his father, his father was such a good man. More so I want to be told, Oh she is so much like her Father in heaven! I see Jesus in her! This is what i want and will strive endlessly, to be more and more made in His image, not mine.

I pray that the Lord can use this opportune time to impact your current church. Making your needs known would allow the body of Christ to enter into the pain, share in the struggle of your present circumstance. You, along with your church, can only grow through this.

Based on the context of the key verse you quoted in Colossians 1:28-29, Paul openly shares his joy in his sufferings with the Colossians. He does this for their sake as well as the sake of the body, the church (Col 1:24) that together, they may continue to live their lives in Christ, "rooted and built up in him and established in their faith" (Col 2:7).

      Hang in there Jesusmyjoy!

Sometimes it is necessary to ask for help. Though most churches have a 'lot on their plates' they want to help you.

The church can not serve or minister to you without knowing about your need. Don't wait until they notice you are missing. Let them know the spiritual/physical needs you have. God can use them in your life, and they want to be used. If not, find another church where you can become involved, and where people will become involved with you. Those churches do exist.
