What Kundalini Is
As an aspect of God, Kundalini represents a primordial, transforming, healing energy that is meant to help our human system attain an optimal state of existence. It is pure nourishing love. Every person has their Kundalini that represents their personal divine mother. Its attention is focused on us from inside daily, hourly, minutely. It always knows what we are doing.
The awakening of Kundalini energy is a phenomenon of Self-Realization or the "second birth". When awakened, Kundalini goes up the spine, passes through every subtle center (chakra) and traverses the fontanel bone. Thus it connects a human being to the source of everything - God.
In Christian tradition this phenomenon is described as "baptism of fire". Awakened Kundalini looks like flames of fire, indeed, and has fire properties but it does not burn. Instead, it makes one feel peaceful in a cool way with the help of cool vibrations of Holy Spirit - Param Chaitanya.
