What is Required to Be Taught To Become a Disciple of Christ
When a person is desiring to become a disciple of Christ according to scripture what must they be taught? Who is to teach it to them?
Please Read this Before we Begin. Here we teach scriptural truths that are not taught most places. These are essential truths that you cannot be a real disciple of Christ without properly understanding.
Because of this fact you must follow the scripture “do not be deceived my beloved brethren” and see that YOU are not deceived. In order to not be deceived you must not believe what I or any other man wants to teach you unless and until it has been confirmed in scripture and by the Holy Spirit of God to you Personally as Truth. That is your responsibility no matter who is teaching you.
Each “church”, group, denomination or other Divisions within the “church system of man” have their own requirements for new believers. What does scripture say the requirement are for new disciples of Christ?
We will see what scripture says is required so that you can make the correct decision and not be Deceived as scripture is clear that it is your responsibility you must be careful and see that you “Do not be deceived”.
Who determines the requirements in this age?
As in all things of God, God, or His appointed authority in that age if there is one, sets the rules during their term of delegated authority. Since we are living during the age of the rule of Christ who has been given all the power and authority of God for this age, until He returns it to God at the judgment, JESUS sets all the rules during His reign as the delegated authority of God. He is NOT God as many apostate man teach but He is acting in God's stead during His time as the delegated holder of God's authority.
Matt 28:18-19
18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
1 Cor 15:20-28
20But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. 24Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.27For "He has put all things under His feet."*But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
What are the requirements for this age that Jesus has set for His disciples
The requirements of Jesus, the Lord of this age, as God's delegated authority, are THE ONLY acceptable requirements to be a disciple of Christ, thereby a son of God (male or female). Any rules by any other person or other age DO NOT APPLY IN THIS AGE.
Of course we understand that first there must be personal repentance, being born again of the Spirit, and changing are part of the plan of redeeming our eternal life that was forfeited by Adam in the garden. But here we are looking at what a new disciple must be taught so we will go there now and see what Jesus say
Matt 28:18-20
18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go therefore*and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Above we have the words of the Lord Jesus on how to become a son of God as He is. The sons of God are the ONLY ones who will inherit and inhabit this earth and the new earth, to live along with God and Jesus in their eternal kingdom on the new earth.
Once they have been born again, Remember these words are given to each individual disciple of Christ, not to a man ordained clergy, or other person or group, disciples of Jesus Christ alone.
And we will look at verse 20. Teach them to “observe all things that I have enjoined you”. Most bibles say commanded but that is an incorrect translation of the word . This is the Youngs meaning of the word translated as commanded.

You must also understand we must find the meaning and usage of the word from the period of time in which it was translated, not a current dictionary because the meanings of words change over time.
Here are a few notes from older dictionaries and there are a lot more you can look up online.

formal to order or try to persuade someone to do something enjoin somebody to do something
Now you should understand what Jesus tells us to teach new disciples.
All that JESUS REQUIRES that new disciples be taught is to follow HIM, do all He taught, did, set an example for, or in any way instructed us to do. AS HIS DISCIPLE.
How can this be, my “church” says I must be taught to understand scripture
The reason is clear in Jesus' instructions above.
1. He says baptize them in water, This is the time that the scripture tells us that our heart is circumcised without hands, breaking that hard shell to allow us to understand the things of God.
Col 2:11-15
11In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins*of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcizion of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Then they must be baptized in (filled with) the Holy Spirit of God. This makes them of one Spirit with God and Jesus and places ALL knowledge of God WITHIN THAT PERSON ( which is contained only in the Holy Spirit of God). Then we as part of the baptism requires, teach them how to hear and follow the Holy Spirit.
John 14:26
26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
There is nothing more needed by the real disciple of Jesus Christ. If you are filled with the real Holy Spirit of God, that only disciples of Christ have or are authorized to impart, you then only have to ask and you will be given the understanding needed in every situation.
Remember scripture is clear that many will come in HIS Name and will try to deceive you, you must not let anyone deceive you, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit of God the creator because scripture warns us that apostate men will impart a false Holy Spirit and have you serve a false Jesus, read it for yourself in scripture, the things men will do to deceive you and you Must Not Let Them.
Jesus says very clearly:
Matt 18:2-5
2Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, 3and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
Apostate man and their church system say you must come to them to be taught, but that is contrary to the Word of Jesus Christ the Lord of this age. He says to come to HIM and be Baptized in water and the Holy Spirit of God and you will be FULLY EQUIPPED.
They say you must come and sit and let them teach you their beliefs.
Jesus says come to me and become one Spirit with me and the Father and you will have all knowledge available within you. And then You GO and make disciples.
Man say come to me and serve god here, I will tell you, we have theologins that can help you learn our teachings.
Jesus says come to me and I will be with to the end of the age and I will give you of My Spirit, which is My Father's Spirit and you will be full of the knowledge of GOD.
A little child does not need and is not capable of understanding the confused ramblings of the theologians. But he can understand the simplicity of following the man Jesus Christ, the only man can give entry to the eternal kingdom of God. When he says come to me and do all I will tell you to do by the Spirit we share and I will be with as long as the earth remains and when it ends you will join me in paradise.
Your choice, follow Jesus and end up in paradise of follow man and be cast into the lake of fire for destruction. There is only ONE Mediator between man and God, The Man Jesus Christ, the son of God. Choose this day who you will follow, it is a matter of life or death.

It is part of the series teaching what Jesus requires and how to avoid being deceived because we are in the final days and the scripture warnings are more important than ever. A question for those believe that Jesus is God. If Jesus is God how can He have his own throne next to God's and be in submission to God for eternity in the eternal kingdom?
