What is the biggest, greatest, largest and worst loss in life?

Updated on November 11, 2013

What is the biggest loss in life?

The other day I was traveling in a bus. The bus was over crowded and there was no space to sit or even to stand. I manged to hold the Iron road fixed on the roof. As the bus moved I overheard the conversation of two college students who were standing beside me.

First one asked his friend. "Have you seen that?"

His friend replied: "No, I didn't get a chance"

Then the first one told his friend that: "It'd be a biggest loss in your life."

Then I decided to give more attention to their conversation to find out what is that biggest loss!. I carefully listened their conversation. They were talking about the film show running in the theater in the nearby city. The first one managed to see that film but the second one could not see that film. Not seeing that particular film is the greatest loss in life for that friend.

One of my friend who is a pastor had an opportunity to visit America. His friends in America called him to visit and minister in the Malayalam Churches over there. My friend Paster spent three months there. When he went to America he had a desire in his mind to see the Nayagra waterfall. But due to his busy schedule, he couldn't manage to see the Most famous Nayagra waterfalls.

On the day of his return, many friends came over to New York airport to see off him. While having friendly conversations with all of them one friend asked him. "Have you managed to see the Nayagra waterfalls."

Pastor replied: "No".

Then the friend said: "It is a biggest loss in your life".

For one, not seeing that particular film is the biggest loss, in his friend's life; for the other, not seeing the Nayagra waterfalls is the biggest loss in his pastors life.

Now what is the biggest loss in your life.

For me not seeing a particular film is not the biggest loss in life. Not seeing the Nayagra waterfalls is not the biggest loss in your life. Not going to space is not the biggest loss in your life. Not reaching the top of Mount Everest is not the biggest loss in your life.

I would like to show you one particular person, if you are not able to see him, or not able to meet him, let me tell you, that is the biggest loss you'd ever have in your life. That would be the greatest and the biggest loss in your life. Let me introduce him:

‘Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose from the dead.’

You may be wondering why it is a total and greatest loss, if you are not knowing Jesus.

The answer is that our life is not ending with our life on earth. It continues in the eternity. Some goes to eternal happiness and rest of the others goes to eternal condemnation. People call it heaven and hell.

Then the question arises that whether the heaven or hell really exists? To know more about hell or earth please ask the few persons who died for few hours. If you google, you will find a girl who died for 23 hours, who visited hell and heaven. (Angelica Zambrano - Dead For 23hours, Taken To Heaven & Hell, Sent Back With A Message) You can find the interview with her in the youtube. There are many people who experienced death and returned to life. All have reported that when they entered the hell or heaven, they felt that they have to live there eternally. It is not a small period of time. It is forever. Heaven is forever as well as the hell is forever. There is no other please for those who did well on the earth.

The another important thing you need to note that once you gone to hell, there is no chance to get to heaven by repentance or by the prayer of people, who are alive in this world. (Please note Praying for the dead is a waste of time, energy and money) The only time you can repent and make sure where you spend your eternal life is, while you are alive on this earth. Once you have departed from this earth, there is no other way(unless you returned to earth).

Now the only way to heaven is to know Jesus, who said "I am the only way truth and life. No one comes to the father(heaven) except through me." Your redemption is free. Just believe that Jesus died for your sin. Yes. Jesus shed his blood for your and my sins. He redeemed us from the sin by his blood. He rose from the death and lives in heaven. He is preparing a place for those who trust in him and lead a holy life. Heaven is a beautiful place to spend eternity. You can have a glimpses of heaven and hell in the Bible.

Foolish people say there is no heaven or hell. Don't fell into the trap of these people. Satan and his army are trying to make people believe that there is no heaven or hell. That is the greatest lie. If you are reading this hub, please make sure that you will be spending your eternal life in heaven. There is a man who visited heaven and hell and wrote few book. His name is Pastor Yong-Doo Kim. (search his name in the google and find his website) You can download his books free of cost and read it.

Captivating story. Indeed it would be the biggest loss not to know the biggest truth about who Jesus is. You have compiled quite the list. What an introduction to the King of kings and Lord of lords!

I disagree my friend. The biggest loss for humans is to die without to find out who they really were and why they did really born.In my opion everything is in soul that SOMEBODY gave to us ,there is the meaning of life, inside.

I am impressed jacobkuttyka. You used a creative approach to introduce your readers to Jesus Christ. You are also right. It is a great lost if we do not know Him if we die without accepting Him as our Lord. Congratulations!!!

Wasn't that good a story, and find it hard to believe in anything that cannot be proved with evidence.

Every other aspect of your lives require firm evidence such as burning your hand on an oven to know fire and heat hurt, falling as a child gives you respect for gravity, but literally there's no evidence whatsoever of a deity. I guess people need something to believe in as their own lives are so disastrous that an after-life is the only way they can keep themselves sane.

      It's such a shame.

James West, Thanks for visiting the hub and your comment. Why don't you try to feel God by praying. Just like you can feel electricity but cannot see it, you can feel God even though you cannot see him.

Wish you all the best in finding God.

The message of Jesus Christ is a gospel which is offered to all the world of salvation for our souls. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Any one of you here, from the youngest to the very oldest, from the most wicked to the most righteous, from the most stupid to the most sophisticated, may know today the salvation of his or her soul.

Listen to J.C.Ryle again: "I know that we are all sinners by nature, fallen, guilty, corrupt, covered with sin. I know that the God with whom we have to do is a most holy Being, of purer eyes than to behold iniquity, and One who cannot look upon that which is evil. I know also that the world in which our lot is cast, is a hard world for religion. It is a world full of cares and troubles, of unbelief and impurity, of opposition and hatred to God. It is a world in which religion is like an exotic - a world which has an atmosphere that makes religion wither away. Notwithstanding all this, hard as this world is, holy as God is, sinful as we are by nature, I say that any one and every one may be saved. Any man or woman may be saved from the guilt, the power, the consequences of sin, and be found at length at the right hand of God in everlasting glory" (J..C.Ryle, "Old Paths," op cit, p. 54).
