The Greatest Loss
What Is the Worst Loss of Life?
What Is the Biggest Loss of Life?
The other day, I was traveling on a crowded bus with no available seating or standing space. I managed to hold onto the iron rod fixed on the roof as the bus moved. While standing there, I overheard a conversation between two college students who were standing beside me.
The first student asked his friend, "Have you seen that?"
His friend replied, "No, I didn't get a chance."
Then the first student informed his friend, "It would be the biggest loss in your life."
Intrigued, I decided to pay closer attention to their conversation in order to find out what this biggest loss was. I carefully listened as they discussed a newly released movie running at a theater in the neighboring city. The first student had managed to see the film, but the second one had missed out on it. Not being able to see that particular movie represented the greatest loss in life for the second student.
One of my friends, who is a pastor named Robert, had the opportunity to visit America. His friends in America invited him to visit and minister in the Malayalam Churches over there. Pastor Robert spent three months in America, but due to his exhausting schedule, he couldn't find the time to see the famous Niagara waterfalls, which had been a desire in his mind.
On the day of his return, many friends came to see him off at the New York Airport. While engaged in friendly conversations with all of them, one friend asked him, "Did you manage to see the Niagara waterfalls?"
Pastor Robert replied, "No."
At that moment, the friend said, "It is the biggest loss of your life."
The Greatest Loss: From Movies to Eternity
For one person, the biggest loss in life is not seeing that particular movie. For another person, the biggest loss in life is not seeing the Niagara waterfalls.
Now, I would like to address the question: What is the biggest loss in your life?
For me, not seeing a particular film is not the biggest loss in life. Not seeing the Niagara waterfalls is not the biggest loss in life. Not going to space is not the biggest loss in life. Not reaching the top of Mount Everest is not the biggest loss in life.
Instead, I would like to introduce you to someone who, if you are unable to see, know, meet, or understand, would represent the biggest loss you could ever have in your life. That person is Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose from the dead.
You may wonder why knowing Jesus is such a tremendous loss in life. It means that you have no knowledge of Him whatsoever. He came to redeem sinners who cannot reach heaven on their own. Through His death, He paid the price for sin and opened the way to eternal life. The Bible says that whoever believes in Jesus shall not perish but have eternal life.
The answer lies in the fact that our existence does not end with our earthly life. It continues into eternity. Some will experience eternal happiness in heaven, while others will face eternal condemnation in hell. The Bible refers to these places as heaven and hell.
Now, the question arises: Do heaven and hell truly exist? To learn more about hell or heaven, please inquire with someone who has died and returned to life after a few hours. If you search on Google, you will find accounts of individuals, such as Angelica Zambrano, who was dead for 23 hours and claimed to have visited hell and heaven. You can find interviews with her on YouTube. Many people have experienced death and returned to life, and they all report feeling that they would dwell there forever upon entering hell or heaven. It is not a temporary state but an eternal one. Heaven is eternal, just as hell is eternal. There is no other place for those who have done good on Earth.
Another crucial point to note is that once you have entered hell, there is no chance of reaching heaven through repentance or the prayers of the living. (Please note that praying for the dead is futile in terms of time, energy, and money.) The only opportunity to repent and ensure where you will spend your eternal life is while you are alive on this Earth. Once you have departed from this Earth, there is no other way (unless you return to Earth).
Now, the only path to heaven is through knowing Jesus, who declared, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (heaven) except through me." Your redemption is free. Simply believe that Jesus died for your sins. Yes, Jesus shed His blood for your sins and mine. He redeemed us from sin through His blood, rose from the dead, and now resides in heaven. He is preparing a place for those who trust in Him and lead a holy life. Heaven is a beautiful place to spend eternity, and you can catch a glimpse of it in the Bible.
Foolish people may claim that there is no heaven or hell. However, I urge you not to fall into the trap of these individuals. Satan and his army are attempting to deceive people into believing that heaven and hell do not exist. This is the greatest lie.
If you are reading this article, please ensure that you will spend your eternal life in heaven. A man named Pastor Yong-Doo Kim visited heaven and hell and wrote several books about his experiences.
