When, Just Around the Corner, Life Knocks You Down!
The rocks cause you to go over or around. Each way is a little different journey.
A sort of poem-prayer-plea, and a little bit of stubborn too
Oh, Great Jehovah!
Be Thou my Guide as on this rugged trail I go.
Grant me Thy strength to take that turn you point...even in my woe.
Give me Thy breath as on the steep'ning path I tread
and grant my sight to be on You, not on those rocks ahead!
Lest I fall, hear Thou my whimpering call and touch my roiling mind with rest,
grant strength to take this path You show, Thou knowing best...
Help me to comprehend, as when reeling all alone, I am not:
You give The Holy One to be my own, that strengthening hand I sought.
Lead on, Thou purposed Guide, through every stumbling step.
You help me fend; my strength and guide as on this trail I go.
Thy morning light must soon be seen to glow...
Thick thickets then I pass and miss sharp thorns hid low--
Brief respite, on this cliff-edge as I climb toward springs
to quench my cracking thirst; though questions cling.
As You assuage my cloying need, keep me sturdy on this way.
I plead for answers without sull; know this path was laid for good to me.
And though I know not reasons now, and falter, still I trust in Thee!
Companion Guide, You marked this way I follow!
Seeking what You give, I know I'll fully truly live!
Oh, God Jehovah, be my Guide! Thy steps shall lead and I shall stay beside!
From The Holy Scriptures
Behold, Yahweh is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;
For El Yeshuati is my strength and song,
and God has become my salvation.
Therefore, I may joyously draw water
from the springs of salvation!
And in that day I will say,
'Give thanks to the Lord God, call on His name!'
Make known His deeds among the people;
Cause them to remember that His name is exalted.
Let this be known throughout the earth!
Isaiah 12: 1-4 and 6
Isaiah 40:31 from the HolyScriptures
"Those who hope in the Lord shall have their strength renewed as needed; they shall mount up with strong wings as eagles and fly very high above the problems; they shall run long and not be wearied; they shall continue to walk and not faint away nor lose their bearings."
And may God grant His blessing upon every soldier-hero, as we pray His covering upon them all, each and every one.
