When God came back to me
Yeah, then he came to me to claim your lives and nourish your illnesses, with the distorted perception of your reality and things in creation of the Lord; but I had not what he had been looking for; because you were not born to do what the Lord has denied to you.
Forgive, Oh God, these misunderstanding, blot out my sins and purify my soul...Accept my sorrow and my apology, pluck these misbehavior out and cast them away of me…
Oh Lord, give me the power to ignore these proud, rebellious horses; give me the ability to dominate lions in this furious jungle.
And it came to pass that physician am I.
After almost twenty years of life I had spent surrounded by the Sciences and the Medicine, God decided to show himself to me once again. His diamonds, which He had used to shine upon me, were a couple of missionaries of the Church of His Son, Jesus Christ.
Few are the coincidences in our life that meet our needs and it is hard to believe that, in the projection of human life, they were coincidences; because the human history is always the same, and the probability of an event established his balance in the history of the evolution.
Old Testament
Proverb 22:11
He that loveth pureness of heart, for the grace of his lips the king shall be his friend.
I remember when in my childhood, the priest of my Church taught us how to behave using as model the life of Jesus Christ, the excellent representation of His Church and His Gospel.
I had a strong penetration of His life in my life, and I believed to him with a strong faith.
I granted myself with all my heart, when I was in love with Jesus; I had my eyes of child. I had not seen if not the reality of Jesus, which the priests, that I had met in my childhood, transmitted to me.
Old Testament
Ecclesiastes 7:16, 17, 18
Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself?
Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?
It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.
New Testament
John 3:18
My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
From day to day I began to questioning myself, and answering by myself to my big concerns. It came to pass that, in those days, I had not received a true support to my answers, and the medicine was a door that I had opened to find my answers.
I was fascinated by the science, and by the truth of the life beyond what a man can perceive with his sensors; sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. I invested a lot of time of my life to study what we are and the biology of life.
I am a physician, and I found myself again in the hands of God from day to day. Nevertheless, this time I had to use my eyes and my mind to see Him.
In those Academic days, it seems God had abandoned me, or simply He had given to me time to ponder about the life and the Genesis of the life.
It came to pass that I spent almost twenty years immersed in my studies, but without perceiving Him near to me anymore.
Then, after years of suffering within my people, He has renewed his presence around me.
The presence of God through the Scriptures represented a new vision of the human world, and I found many mistakes in my life; mistakes that I made when I tried to interpret the human life. I had many biases, in the scientific and statistical meaning, which the time helped me to reduce.
The faith in God and in Jesus Christ His Son is important for patients, for people that have already seen the “Door”. It is a complement of the cold side of the science, as are the Scriptures and Religions in the Human civilization.
I had seen many people in the clinic, whose only needs were for somebody, or something that had dabbed their feeling of emptiness, and the gaps in their lives. This was more than the medicine can do, even in the psychiatric contingent. I had surrendered to the reality of that unreal state of life. I am not God, I have not created the life, and I have no power to fill those gaps.
Then He has come back to me. It was fast and filler, with only few voices carrying the truth, the goodness and the knowledge of the Scriptures.
The drama was to select the voices and the righteousness carried by them.
New testament
Matthew 17:17
Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to me.
Medicine
Medicine and surgery among the Israelites were of a very primitive kind, and until the introduction of Greek civilization, they never rose to the rank of sciences.
The only remedies mentioned in the Old Testament are for external injuries, such as plasters, bandages, and unguents.
I saw again it, through the Scriptures and the eyes of an adult, where God led Humans...it had been a difficult travel, it is still, and it will be forever. Nevertheless, this new reappearance of God has made Him more tangible than He might have been around me in my childhood. I have seen Him in the Science, in the medicine, and in the reality.
Book of Mormon
Enos 1:8
And he said unto me: Because of thy faith in Christ, whom thou hast never before heard nor seen. And many years pass away before he shall manifest himself in the flesh; wherefore, go to, thy faith hath made thee whole.
Old Testament
Proverb 16:22
Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
Old Testament
Proverbs Chapter 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Jeremiah speaks of a resinous gum (“balm of Gilead”) noted for its healing properties (Jer. 8:22; 46:11). We also hear of figs being used as a poultice (Isa. 38:21).
Jeremiah 46:11
11 Go up into Gilead, and take balm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured.
Jeremiah 30:13
13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines.
Ezekiel 47:12
12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.
Anoint
To apply oil or ointment to the head or the person. Anciently anointing was done for reasons both secular and sacred. It is a sign of hospitality in Luke 7:46 and of routine personal grooming in 2 Sam. 12:20 and Matt. 6:17. The maimed or sick were anointed with wine, oil, or ointment as medicine (Isa. 1:6; Luke 10:34; Rev. 3:18). The sick were also anointed with oil as part of the sacred procedure in healing of the sick by faith and the laying on of hands (Mark 6:13; James 5:14–15).
