Who are the Apostate Man the Scriptures Warn us about?

The word apostate is being used a lot by me and many others these days and we need to take a look what it really means as many do not have any idea . Is it scriptural? Is it ok to use it when talking about someone who professes to be of God?

Let's look at the word and its meaning. And also how it can used pertaining to christianity.

Please Read this Before we Begin. Here we teach scriptural truths that are not taught most places. These are essential truths that you cannot be a real disciple of Christ without properly understanding.

Because of this fact you must follow the scripture “do not be deceived my beloved brethren” and see that YOU are not deceived. In order to not be deceived you must not believe what I or any other man wants to teach you unless and until it has been confirmed in scripture and by the Holy Spirit of God to you Personally as Truth. That is your responsibility no matter who is teaching you.

There are two types of man in the world, the real disciples of Christ (sons of God) and the apostate man, many of which profess to be of God. But Jesus, the Lord of this age, makes it clear that only those filled with and following the indwelling Holy Spirit of God are His brothers. (male and female). The scriptures declare that it is our personal responsibility to not be Deceived. Both Jesus and His apostles declare it.

The Word Apostate, what does it mean?

There are 2 Hebrew words and 3 Greek words in new testament scripture that relate to Apostate. Since we live in the age of the new testament we will look at the Greek words. They are Strong's number G2061 appears one time, G3432 appears 4 times, and G5436 which appears once.

NT:2061

NT:2061 (Ermwge/nh$ Hermogenes (her-mog-en'-ace); from NT:2060 and

NT:1096; born of Hermes; Hermogenes, an apostate Christian:

NT:3432

NT:3432 moixo/$ moichos (moy-khos'); perhaps a primary word; a (male) paramour; figuratively, apostate:

NT:5436

NT:5436 Fu/gello$ Phugellos (foog'-el-los); probably from NT:5343; fugitive; Phygellus, an apostate Christian:

2 Tim 1:13-16

13Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

15This you know, that all those in Asia have turned away from me, among whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes. 1

NT:654

NT:654 a)postre/fw apostrepho (ap-os-tref'-o); from NT:575 and NT:4762; to turn away or back (literally or figuratively):

Here are two good scriptural descriptions of apostate man.

Jude 16-19

16These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: 18how they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts. 19These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.

Rom 16:17-20

17Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus*Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. 20And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.

An apostate man is one that has never submitted to God thru Christ or has left the way of the Lord, and is now a son of satan and working for him. His aim is to do one thing, to destroy YOU.

Conclusion:

By the above information and there is so much more supporting scripture throughout the scriptures, we see that the warnings about the apostate man are telling us who they are, they are natural (Carnal) man that walk in their flesh because they are not of one Spirit with God and His son Jesus, they walk in their personal anti God flesh, where those of God are required to become of one Spirit with Him and His son. Their desires are what motivates them, where those of the Spirit of God are motivated by love for others. They know how to deceive you by making you feel good in the natural, they use Jesus as a bait and switch to draw you into their kingdom and work for them instead of doing what JESUS would have YOU do, they cannot bring truth to anyone as they have been sent the stong delusion that they must believe their lies of man. They bring only the false jesus and his false holy spirit, that may make you feel good but they have NO ETERNAL VALUE. They care not that they are destroying lives and stealing away the eternal life that millions believe they are receiving. Oh how terrible the penalty for not obeying the scripture “do not be deceived my beloved brethren.

Those of God understand that Jesus came to bring life to all that will submit to him where those not of the one Spirit bring division among the saints and .lead not to the eternal Kingdom of God but to destruction in the lake of fire.

Scripture warnings are there to keep us from falling for the EASY, man made, false doctrines that neglect the Words of Christ that tell us HIS way is Difficult, but the end result is we inherit the earth and the new eternal kingdom of God instead of ending up being destroyed in the lake of fire. Of course those that ARE the ones we are warned to avoid will never talk about the warning and tell you to avoid those people because they ARE those people and you would not follow them if you heed the warnings.

Get out your concordance and bible (any bible will do because the Spirit only knows the truth and will teach it to you), then before you open them get alone with Jesus the Lord of this age and the doorway to God, and if you have not been filled with the Holy Spirit of God ( or if you are not sure ask Jesus to confirm.) If not no problem just let it in now and continue.

(He is filled with the real Spirit of God) to make you one with Him and His father. Then ask the indwelling Holy Spirit to teach you all truth as you study. You will then have to be ready to accept that many things you have been taught are wrong as the Holy Spirit teaches you ALL truth. If you cannot do this you will be lost forever and God will send you the strong delusion (if He has not already) that is found in the apostate church system of man. BUT if you reach out to God and ask for AND RECEIVE IT, HE will not send you a stone , he will open the door and flood your Spirit with His truths. Be prepared because you will be amazed at what you hear.

If you have been filled with the false spirit you will be oppressed when you do this but when you get filled with the real Holy Spirit you will have a peace you have never known.

I am happy to answer any honest questions. You can ask in comment or send me an email.
