Why Pray the Rosary?
The Rosary is a beautiful prayer. However, some people have not heard of the Rosary before or even know why praying the Rosary is a wonderful blessing. Now for those that pray the Rosary on a daily basis congratulations you can provide some wonderful insight in this article as well in the comment section. Now for some people that do not know what the Rosary is it is a set of prayers that are meditative in nature.
You might be asking how it can be considered meditative and what exactly would it be meditating other than when you look at the mysteries of the Rosary you will notice that they are all recalling important portions of Jesus life. So if you are truely meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary you will be noticing that you are thinking more about the various stages of Jesus life and ministry. Even if you are not Catholic you will notice that each of the mysteries of the Rosary has a Biblical basis and depending on what you are following pamphlet wise or book wise they will normally have the exact reading that you can find the mystery if you want to find out even more about the time.
So now that you know that the mysteries that are surrounding the Rosary are straight from the Bible you might be asking about the prayers themselves. The prayers are common prayers that many Catholics learned while in school. Even those that are not Catholic will recognize some of the prayers as they can be found in the Bible as well. Some of them might take more work to realize that the prayer is from the Bible, but for other prayers involved in the Rosary you will easily see where they are from.
You might now be considering to say the Rosary and I would have to say go for it! Now after you have been fighting against Satan who is trying to interject to your soul that you do not have time to say the Rosary I have to say you can say the Rosary at any time of the day. I know that for some people they pray the Rosary while driving to work, school, or doctor's appointments. For others that do a morning work out they can say the Rosary while on the exercise bike or treadmill. Then if you are one of the people that require some visual stimulation you will find EWTN to have the Rosary on television several times a day which will provide you with some excellent programs to pray the Rosary with. My personal favorite is the Holy Land Rosary that is on in the morning.
Praying the Rosary every day is not a chore to do that some people claim that it is. I know that the Rosary is much more than a prayer. The Rosary is a reflection on the life that Jesus led so that we can have our life today.
