Why Such Distaste For Jesus These Days?
Honestly this frustrates me a lot these days because I have a strong love for God and Jesus. Why? Because His strength which I have received through prayer and sheer faith have strengthened me in every moment of hopelessness or depression.
I know the world is not happy to hear about Jesus, but hey, we still have freedom of speech in America. I find it frustrating how I experience on a daily basis the lack of enthusiasm.
I am living proof that faith heals. I have been through much in my lifetime and my faith has kept me alive and going strong. No other coping skill would have gotten me through. It's true.
I like to share this with others because for one, I feel it is my duty and for two I love to share things that help me as I know it will and can help others as well.
I mean I get tons of stuff that I feel is negative and distasteful thrown at me on a daily basis from the news, and facebook, and everywhere I go.
There is nothing wrong with being a Christian and believing in Jesus. Quite the contrary, because this is what inspires me to forgive, and to "turn the other cheek", and to heal from my past and brokenness which we all have to a degree.
Faith is not just for tough times either. It is a daily vitamin of support and encouragment to live to the highest moral integrity! To be "Jesus" to others, to follow His wonderful ways, you cannot go wrong.
No matter how difficult things get in the world, Jesus is always there to help us along...Prayer is a positive force for good..it's a vocal or non vocal way to express positivity and hope and support and forgiveness.
Meditation and prayer lead to much peace, an inner peace, nothing nor anyone else can give. It is the substance of the soul and spirit reaching to higher places and realms to achieve what that which is beautiful, inner beauty...which is to bear the fruits of love which are listed as:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
