God Comes for His Word!
First, I must testify to His Goodness and Mercy! He is not a man that He should lie nor the Son of Man that He should repent. He is true to His Word and the Promises of His Word.
Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.
When we confess God's word we are sending forth His Word to accomplish that for which we are sending it and we must believe that it shall prosper in that thing which we are sending it ... to affect a change in our lives.
Here is a word for you … We serve a FLABBERGASTING God!
FLABBERGAST means – to amaze, astonish somebody completely, astound, bowl over, and surprise ...
God desires to flabbergast us each and every day … if we would but BELIEVE! ...We should be seeing the miraculous in our lives on a daily basis … He should be manifesting in every circumstance but He can't and He doesn't. Why can't He? Why doesn't He? Quite simply … we are not allowing Him.
God wants to manifest every single day … if we would just believe … if we would but have FAITH. Do you realize that we are showing contempt for God when we don't believe?
Is this you? Or should I say … is this me? We have had so many encouraging and uplifting words yet … do I still doubt that He is for me? Do I still wonder if the Word will work for me? Am I calling God a liar by not trusting that what He says is true? Am I creating an atmosphere in which He can move and breathe and have His Being?
Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 14:11 - The LORD said to Moses, "How long will these people treat me with contempt? How long will they refuse to believe in me, in spite of all the miraculous signs I have performed among them?"
The scripture actually says that we are showing contempt for Him when we are in doubt or unbelief. There is no room or time for doubt and unbelief. You have been given the tools … your weapons of warfare have been presented to you but only you can wield them … only you can sharpen and hone your skills with those weapon.
Well … here is another weapon for your armory.
Wielding the Word Wealthily!
1. Tithe/Offering – Are you giving your tithe faithfully? I mean without hesitancy … giving it when you know that there will only be .60 cents in your account. Pulling it out before that automatic withdrawal hits that you know will take a portion of it even though you know it will cause an NSF.
Malachi 3:10 - Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
Can I tell you … I did? I put Him to the test. Over and over again. And each time He proved Himself faithful. He will do the same thing for you.
2. Fasting – I used to think that fasting was not necessary but I was wrong … so very wrong and I have seen the fruit of fasting manifest in my life. Do I get it right all of the time … No, definitely not but when I do …
There is power … wonder working power … when I fast.
Matthew 17:21 - But this kind does not come out except by prayer and fasting.
Some things just aren't going to happen unless we fast.
3. Prayer - Mark 11:24 - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
RECEIVED … past tense … Do you believe that you have received that which you have prayed? If not, you may be wasting your time. You might as well not pray.
4. Praise – We must praise Him in the midst of everything whether it is good or bad or just stagnate. It is in our praise that we WIN! It doesn't matter what the situation looks like … We WIN!
Colossians 3:17 - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Recently, I heard the Lord say this to me … and I believe He is asking you the same question.
Do you love me?
Are you called according to my purpose?
And if you answer is a resounding “YES!” Here is His answer … “For those who love me and are called according to my purpose I have good and perfect gifts which encompass not only that which you need but that which you desire in your heart.”
