What A Day That Was

Preach every Doctrine In the Word of God leaving out none.

What a day. We have a 3-inch snow again. But God moved in a special way today as well. The Spirit of God had His way in people and Light of Jesus was a revelation of Life. (John 8.12; 14.6) One thing that bothered me. The young children in their free time are tied to their smartphones the entire time.

Many people do not seem to see this as a problem. But we spoke to the boys, ages 10-12 years of age, and did not get a response from them. This was how distracted they were. It is. As their grandfather, I am going to find ways to divert them. Smartphones can be mind numbing. More later.

You want a chilling thought – there is a battle ragging over your and my head right now between angels and demons. Here is Paul speaking and one I have studied quite a bit (12 credit hours and countless other hours study for papers and final):

“I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago-whether in the body I do not know…God knows-such a one was caught up to the third heaven. And I know such a man…how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. (2 Corinthians 12.2-4)

IIt makes sense if there is a third heaven, there is clearly a second, and a first heaven as well. The Bible talks about a battle going on between demons and angels in second heaven. So there is a first heaven as well. We will study on all of this.

Now let's read on:

So for a time Satan and his demons can only be in one place at a time and have to seek embodiment and that Satan and many of his demons are still allowed with God’s permission to roam about in this 2nd heaven – the air. Now Paul's words to the Ephesians make sense more in relation to our study of 2nd heaven and the enemy of heaven.

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

We have in our possession an alien document given by the ultimate alien himself, Jehovah, who has created all other aliens that we know of in creation (angels, cherubim, and cherub?).

You can forget the traditional depiction of the devil as the red horned, sharp-toothed, cloven-hoofed, insidious creature of movies and pagan mythology,it is not Scriptural.

Let us lean together. God created Lucifer an inexpressibly beautiful angel called a cherub and the overseer of the Garden of God. He also was very wise, the most glorious of all the angels, and the worship leader in Paradise.

Lucifer displayed such splendor and radiance that he was called the “son of the morning” (Isaiah 14.12). The Hebrew meaning of Lucifer is “helel” “to shine” or “to bear light”.

Lucifer bore the reflected magnificence of majesty of the Lord God Almighty’s radiance! Ezekiel vividly spoke of Lucifer:

“Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre,

and say to him, Thus says the Lord God:

“You were the signet of perfection,

full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

You were in Eden, the garden of God;

every precious stone was your covering,

sardius, topaz, and diamond,

beryl, onyx, and jasper,

sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle;

and crafted in gold were your settings

and your engravings.”’;

On the day that you were created

they were prepared.

You were an anointed guardian cherub.

I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God;

in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. (Ezekiel 28.12-14)

I lost my wife Sunday just before noon (26 April 2020) unexpectedly, and am depending on my faith to see and my daughter who was closest to her here through. It is very difficult; she was 61 years young and the matriarch of the family and is sorely missed.

Lindsay and I are very close and feel the loss more personally. She was a Christian and a free Spirit of beauty and uniqueness in every way. She will be desperately missed.

I feel pain both physically and mentally so deep it is hard to explain with words. I am sure I am voicing a description that many of you feel as well. Even when there seems to be no way, He, the Lord Jesus Christ, promised to be always close, and there is always a way. (Isaiah 43.8)

Preach the Gospel is our theme so here goes: There are three phases of Salvation:

• · Past Tense – You have been saved from the penalty of sin. Positionally you’ve been saved from sin. This is technically justification. You’ve been saved in the sense of the penalty of your past sins has been removed. (Ephesians 2.8, 9)
• · Present Tense = You have been saved from the power of sin. This is the present tense and continuing. This is sometimes called sanctification. (Romans 6)
• · Future Tense – You will be saved from the presence of sin. This is called the redemption of our bodies. (Romans 8.28)

Paul contrasted the two Adams for us beautifully. It will be in the table below for your enjoyment.

Death - the final sting that our Lord took care of on the cross. (1 Corinthians 15.56) Of course we are grieving. My wife did not fear death at all. In fact, the opposite, she wanted to be with the Lord. Pray for us please. Thank you for your prays in advance.
