Great Signs in the Heavens

The Lord says in Joel 2:30,

" I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth,

blood and fire and billows of smoke."

This phenomena was prophecied by Prophet Joel more than two thousand years ago. Its occurrence precedes the coming of the "Day of the Lord." The "Day of the Lord" may refer to Jacob's trouble or the Tribulation Period of seven years or the Great Tribulation which refers to the last half of the seven year Tribulation Period.

The Lord Jesus spoke also about it as one of the signs of His very soon return as it is written in Luke 21:28;

"When these things begin to take place , stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

During the past decade up to the present time, there is an escalation in the occurrences of heavenly signs which involve blood, fire and billows of smoke. During the past decade, we have observed the consecutive blood moons, the tetrad of 2014 to 2015 which were visible in the USA.

Youtuber Brandon Cory Nagley revealed about two weeks ago that Africa and Europe have seen red sky due to the presence of red planet in the solar system. He disclosed further via Youtube that meteors were seen recently over the skies of Missouri. Large debris of Meteor were also observed over Indonesia, England and Chile about one week ago. The sky turns red due to the presence of red iron oxide dust. Pastor Paul Begley also revealed that about a week ago, fireballs were also seen over the skies of Louisiana.

Just this morning, about two hours past midnight, I have seen wonders in heaven. I saw a heavenly object seemingly like a star but appears to be closer in distance. Seemingly it is round and sparkles brightly. It remained in my sight for more than thirty minutes. It is accompanied by a couple of cometlike objects. I am still wondering as of this time what are these heavenly sightings.

The Lord Jesus spoke abour these heavenly signs as one of the great signs to watch out for pertaining His Second Coming. As believers we should not be troubled by these signs, but we should rejoice greatly that our redemption is fast approaching.

Those who have authentic relationship with God are the ones who can lift up their heads in times of these phenomena. If you don't have relationship with God yet, it is high time to pursue relationship with Him. You can have this relationship following these steps:

First you must realize your real condition before God. It is written in Romans 3:23;

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

We all have fallen short of God's standard of perfect holiness.

Just committing one sin in a lifetime is sufficient reason to be condemned to hell. For it is written in Romans 6:23; "For the wages of sin is death."

It is impossible for the natural man to commit at least three sins only in a day. I mean sins in thoughts, words and deeds. Sin is committed already at just merely thinking about it. Jesus says in Matthew 5:28;

"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already comitted adultery with her in his heart."

Or just by merely saying it as it is written in Matthew 5:22;

"And anyone who says, 'you fool' will be in danger of the fire of hell."

Maybe the most saintly among us can only manage to sin three times a day.

Salvation indeed is an impossible task for a man to achieve, God Himself is the One who made a way to make salvation for man possible. God's salvation plan is accomplished through JesusChrist. God sent His only begotten Son to the world to suffer, and die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. God's justice system requires death sentence for us sinners for it is written in the Scripture the soul that sin must die. We must put our faith completely on Christ sacrifice on the cross as the only way for our forgiveness as it is written in Hebrews 9:28;

"So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many."

This sacrifice of Christ on Mt Calvary two thousand years ago is perfect, complete and sufficient. He came back to life again to prove to His followers the authenticity of His testimony. By accepting Christ sacrifice and surrendering your life utterly to His Lordship, you can have a relationship with God as it is written in John 1:12-13

"Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed on his name, he gave the right to become children of God- children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision, or husband's will , but born of God."
