What Voice Are You Listening To?

God's Message is More than Virtual

Praying is an action of faith. When we text message, send comments and chat on social websites, we usually can not see the person we are communicating with. But we continue to do this because we want to get our message across. We trust that the person responding to the message will answer back. So, praying is in the same way like anticipating a response from a message or a chat room. We can not see the person's reaction, but we know that it is coming.

Being in communication with God, we trust in whom we do not see. He Does Exist, whether you acknowledge the fact or not. He is going to respond when you let Him. And He will respond in the time He allows.

An example of such an awaited for response is this: I had a dream one night over two years ago. In the dream I was going over a draw bridge that was raised to let ships go by. Each cargo dock was carrying pieces of a freight train that was not hooked together, and it looked as if the train engine was in disrepair. Each of the three cargo ships had to pass through the open draw bridge. I wrote this dream down and prayed to the Lord that He would give me an interpretation. Two years later, I was visited by my cousin from California whom I had not seen since the age of three. Of course, we corresponded by cards and letters through the years. But after sitting and talking to her during that visit, she revealed to me things about her life that explained what I had been curious about. The pieces of the "train" in the dream crossing the bridge that were broken in my dream represented the parts of her life that I had always wanted to know about.

Dreams are just abstract ways that the Lord uses to get a message across. I could have a whole volume on dreams and the interpretation the Holy Spirit gives me when I pray. But in wanting to hear from God, you have to listen, and wait. What a gift it is to receive an immediate response.

So here is a poetic way that Our Lord spoke to me. All I wanted to do was share this, so perhaps you will become inspired and blessed. May you have your own special experience hearing from Him.

FOLLOW...
Take my hand
I understand
Talk with me
Walk with me
Be free
From land to sea.
Sing a song
It won't be long
Before the day

When I will stay

Forevermore

Knock on my Door

Open up

Drink my cup.

Feed my sheep

Never weep

My love is free

Free to see

My kingdom come

I'm the One

I'm the Son.

Rejoice

Your voice

Through which I speak

I am Strong

When you are weak

It is I you seek.

Before you can hear from the Lord, faith in His word in the Bible is the way to begin. And accept and believe that His Son Jesus Christ came to teach us, and forgive us through the action of His death on the cross, in order that we will have eternal life:that is a real relationship that is meant to heal us and fulfill our lives. Not only is it important to pray, read His Word and practice Christlike ways everyday, but to find fellowship with others who will help foster a growth spiritually in Him.

Peace to all those who have ears to listen to His Voice. May you be blessed!
