Worldly orders in a spiritual house

It was John Wesley that once said, ‘Do not ascribe to God what is not of God.’ Not minding this warning, we are forgetting daily that not everything done in the house of God is acceptable to the God of the house.

The children of Aaron offered strange fire in the house of God and God (of the house) smote them (Leviticus 10:1- 2). Like Nadab and Abihu, this generation can hardly differentiate between Bethel (House of God) and El – Bethel (God of the house of God). To make the matter worse, men of experience like Jacob, who knew the difference are few and are not well known by this generation of believers (that believes anything).

The youth of today possess the house of God, adorning it with many beautiful decorations and various artistic backdrops, but they are being dispossessed of God by their very acts of unrighteousness and detestable and unspeakable abominations. This bunch of church – goers have God in their mouths, and the world in their hearts. Hear what God says;

‘The Master said: "These people make a big show of saying the right thing, but their hearts aren't in it. Because they act like they're worshiping me but don't mean it, I’m going to step in and shock them awake, astonish them, stand them on their ears. The wise ones who had it all figured out will be exposed as fools. The smart people who thought they knew everything will turn out to know nothing."

- Isaiah 29:13 – 14 (MSG)

Whoever or whatever rules your heart is your master and lord. The world gaining entrance into the hearts of believers has set up orders in the so – called Bethel (House of God). These orders distance the believers farer away from El – Bethel (God of the house of God). The orders may take one closer to church building, but further one away from God.

1^{st Order – Harlotry:}

The romance with different doctrines and diverse breakthrough prayers and rituals coupled with suspicious signs, miracles and lying wonders has made many believers to divorce the Word of God. Hence we see believers playing the harlots from one sect to another:

‘And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab. And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

’– Numbers 25:1 - 3

Spiritual harlotry is at its peak these days, watch your back. This is the 1st order.

2nd Order – Philosophy:

This lukewarm Laodicean generation has taken quality posters, banners and handbills erroneously as a standard and a pointer for good Christian meetings, and sees good graphics of a white dove as the blessed Holy Spirit and His righteousness; so they are left with the enticing words of men’s wisdom. This vain philosophy (sermon without substance) is selling like hot cakes in Bethel (House of God).

‘Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.’

– Colossians 2:8

This high sounding nonsense is the 2nd order on many pulpits today.

3rd Order – Eternal Security:

Another vogue among the gathering of many young believers at Bethel (house of God) today is the doctrine of eternal security that says, once you are save, you are safe. That no matter what sin you enjoy practicing, God can not punish you for it, He is too merciful to cast you out of His presence. This order is really promoting sins among many unschooled young believers and their innocent converts. On contrary to this order in the house of God, Apostle Paul warned us thus; ‘Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.’ – Philippians 2:12

Do not mock God, sow unto righteousness and you will not reap corruption.

4th Order – Occultism:

Leaders and fathers in faith who has lost patience with God are now into diverse occultisms. For the sake of power and money desperately needed to ‘help’ God in propagating the gospel of His dear Son, many church leaders are crawling to Satan for assistance. Their messages are changing; the arrowheads of their teachings are no more there as it were before.

With upcoming ministers looking up unto them, the blanket effect of occultism in Bethel is unimaginable. In the days of prophet Ezekiel, the same thing happened and upon seeing their deeds Ezekiel was shocked to his marrow:

‘And there stood before them seventy men of the ancients of the house of Israel, and in the midst of them stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up. Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? For they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.’

– Ezekiel 8:11 -12

5th Order – Fame:

For the main reason of popularity, many pastors are running with their blood pressure rising, going on their knees before their bank managers, begging for loans to embark on building ‘Tower’ and ‘Cities’, like Nimrod, to make a name for themselves. Good ideas that are not God’s ideas are now springing up everywhere in form of holy cities and universities especially. Remember, when the sons of God (Anointed ones) married the daughters of men (beautiful worldly ideas); they gave birth to giants which later oppose the move of God.

‘And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach

unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.’ – Genesis 11:4

Without doubt, the spirit of Nimrod has cunningly entered Bethel, determined to change the focus of the people away from God at all cost!

Like Elijah, let the remnant of righteousness take up the challenge and repaired the ruined and broken altar of the LORD in the hearts of men.

Jesus Christ, our High Priest will not accept these worldly orders in His spiritual House – our bodies, His temple.

'Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.’ – I Peter 2:5

It now that we will know and acknowledge that truly God does not live in a house made with hand. Many times, we narrowly missed the truth written in the bible that the 'Church' is not a building, but the coming together of the people of God, the ecclesia which means the call - outs. Until we all come to term with the basics, there may be a continuous confusion among many brethren.

We are all called to serve and to worship God. So we need not seek the devil or engage the manners of the wicked world to carry out our mandate as God's elects.
