You're Mine

Updated on April 21, 2017

Over the years my goals, dreams, and desires have changed. I'm far removed from the days of playing guitar in bars for people, who for the most part, couldn't remember the performance the next day. I'm far removed, by God's grace, from preaching a message that robbed an audience of life, and God has replaced it with a message of hope for all who will hear - anytime, any place. Now is the time, and HP is your place.

My relationship with the God of the universe is reciprocal. As much as I belong to Jesus through spiritual birth, He belongs to me. I share in all who He is and has. Of course, that's not by own merit, but by His reaching out to me. Hopefully, these words accurately portray the new direction and destination God gave me many years ago. If it matters (and it doesn't), it's written in the key of C.

Lord, You're mine

All the time,

Every day.

Lord, You're mine.

Lord, I'm Yours.

You're the Door.

You're my Light.

Lord, I/m Yours.

And through the years I've thought about it,

And I know just where I stand.

Through the tears I never doubted.

I'm not alone, You hold my hand.

And only love could tell the story,

How my God left Heaven's throne.

How He left His Light and Glory

Just so I could be His own.

Blesed Assurance - Jesus is mine!

Lord, You're mine

All the time,

Every day.

Lord, You're mine.

Lord, I'm Yours.

You're the Door.

You're my Light.

Lord, I/m Yours.

This is so very beautiful, isn't it wonderful knowing God is always there, in good times and bad times. We've all known good and bad days, to be lifted up and feel the love we have for Jesus, and his forgiving love for us, makes us rejoice and fully aware that he lives! Thank you for sharing your testimony of faith and love...

You're welcome, Ruby. The difference in my life is like night and day - maybe the difference is night and day, or dark and Light. Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful narration. When the heart and soul speak spiritual life, the power of eternity is manifested. That's a blessing you've shared here with us lifegate. HalleluYAH.

Thanks, Lori. This was a poor attempt to put into words what really can't be put into words. I could never put into words all that God has done for me over the years. And I'm so thankful for His presence in m y life. Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a great weekend.

Your poem is my prayer exactly. Like you, I'm praying the words of the song: "I am His and He is mine, forever and forever." We many not be at the destination we want to be, but we're far away from where we started, by His grace.

      Hi Dora,

As the Apostle Paul says, nothing can separate us from the love of God. What a wonderful fact! Thanks for taking time out to visit today.
