Inspirational, Uplifting and Encouraging Bible Verses: Things can only get better: Ephesians 1:9-10

Updated on December 3, 2013

he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.” Ephesians 1:9-10

According to scripture, the storyline goes like this in an extremely condensed format:

Christ was with God in the beginning, and was God. One in the same yet separate: deity. All things were created by Him, He being eternal and not created. Man was created in His image and given free will. Man decided to do things his way, like Sinatra sings it in the song we all love. Creation, originally perfect, became corrupt. God took on flesh to act on our behalf, to compensate. Jump forward to right now, and we see a world headed in the exact direction called out by God’s prophets.

Bad news? No, not really. Not ultimately. Why?: “when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ”

God will not let what was once perfect remain as it is. He will restore what was originally put in place. Better yet, we can be there. At what price? Best news yet, at no cost to you and I, as He already paid the bill.

May seem far-fetched on the surface, sure didn’t give it a great deal of thought until the tests started coming in and I started to fail.

I look around and see that man’s time at the helm has not panned out well, and can’t see Him fixing things on his own.

I think we need help, and have come to believe God offers it free of charge.
