Beginner Witchcraft Spell Casting

Information about spell casting, spell instructions, and the basic ingredients you need to cast a spell are readily available online. Tons of websites and blogs out there are dedicated to spreading the word on Wicca or witchcraft and providing you with detailed instructions to help you cast whatever spell you need to improve your life.

Many spells call for simple ingredients you will be able to find in your own kitchen, or right outside your door. You may have to purchase a few ritual ingredients to cast the more complex spells.

Where to Find Free Spells

These websites are chosen because they have three things in common: free to use with no membership necessary, providing hundreds of spells, an easy to navigate website, and offering a wide variety of spells. All the things you need to get started casting free spells quickly and easily. I use these regularly myself to generate ideas.

Crafts and Cooking Recipes

I love learning about crafts and recipes, especially if they are related to a Wiccan holiday. This is a low cost, easy, and fun way to celebrate.

Ritual Ingredients

Most spells will require something to complete besides your own intent and voice. If you want to cast witchcraft spells regularly, you'll need to have some spell ingredients on hand. These are some basic sets which can get you started.

Candle magic is the simplest form of magic. You can cast a spell burning one candle and clearly defining your intent. Different colors will go for different types of spells.

Videos

If there's anything you don't understand about how to be a witch or Wiccan, or spell instructions seem confusing or use terms you don't understand, don't worry!

Everyone has to get started somewhere, and there are tons of pagans, Wiccans, and witches posting videos daily, ready to help beginning witches just like yourself. Type exactly what you are looking for into the search bar and chances are, someone has made a video explaining how to do it.

I'm a witch with years of experience and still reference videos all the time! It's a great way to learn more about witchcraft and see what everything is supposed to look like before you try it out on your own.

A Witch's Bottle

M. Flora Peterson has some great resources, clearly explaining what to do and showing closeups of spell ingredients. Her videos are excellent for beginner or seasoned practitioners. Of course, there are hundreds of other talented witches providing educational videos, just search around. Here is Ms. Peterson walking us through making a Witch's Bottle. I actually followed her video almost exactly when I bought my last house.

Do you identify as a Wiccan, Witch, or Pagan?
