Sooner or later, things get rough. Life gets rough. It has to at some point. Such is the nature of this world, a world which has existed in a compromised state since the events of Genesis Ch 3.
Long time ago, I just started to see the beginnings of some rough roads that lay ahead. In explaining that plight to my older brother, who had already been enrolled in the school of hard knocks for some time, I can remember his reply: “Frank, it’s only going to get worse. So just plant your feet.”
And it did, but out of despair came peace. Peace in knowing a God who has my past, present and future covered. Peace in Christ. Know Jesus and know Peace.
Kind of a rough week this week, some things from the past have jumped out and hurt me, and it has scared me. It used to terrify me. But I am not that scared , because I just know God is at work and will take care of it. Faith has grown strong, because He has been there before and I fully expect Him to come through again.
Life can get rough at times. Despite that, know that He is in our corner and will make us able.
And give us rest.
