Obeying God’s Principles to prosper.
God's Kingdom work on Principles. There are Physical Principles and there are Spiritual Principles.
A physical principle.
A physical principle: can be described as a lighthouse on the rocks. If a captain sees the light he knows that there are rocks in his way.
If he disobeys the warning the light gives, it could mean disaster. The light cannot stop the ship but the captain or the rocks can. The light was put there to protect or warn the ship about the rocks. It is the same with the kingdom of God. The law or principles were put there to protect or warn us on the road of life.
I once heard a story told about a captain of a U.S. warship that was on its way through an unknown part of the ocean. The captain saw a light on the horizon. It was dark that night. They had been at sea for months and because it takes time to manoeuvre such a large ship, the captain was irritable as he was not in the mood to go through all the procedures of turning off course. He got onto the radio and he called to see if he could raise the other ship on the radio. Not long after he started calling, there was an answer and the irritated captain barked into the radio for this ship to change its course.
The voice on the radio said calmly that he will not move out the way, but that the ship should alter its course. The captain of the warship got more irritated and barked into the radio saying "do you know that this is a U.S. warship and we could easily ram you with little damage to our ship, so get out the way. The light grew brighter and brighter as they drew nearer. The irritated captain gave the order for the ship to go full steam ahead and not to turn out for the light.
The voice on the radio became concerned and with patience told the warship to change course or to be destroyed. The captain of the warship was amazed at the bravery of the other ship, and he asked the voice if he was friend or foe. The voice calmly answered and said, friend. "How you plan to destroy a mighty warship like mine", the captain asked querulously into the radio. Sir, it is easy, you will destroy yourself. Now the captain was more furious than before and was more determined to ram this cocky little ship in front of him.
The calm voice came over the radio again and warned the captain to change course. The voice said that if the captain did not respond now it would be too late and he, his men and all equipment would be lost. The captain again threatened the calm voice, more determined to ram the other ship. The calm voice came onto the radio and this time with urgency told the irritable captain that he was not a ship but a light house. (Author unknown).
Many people around the world are exactly like the captain in that they are puffed up with their own power yet do not realise that when they are trying to ram the Lighthouse (that is the word of God) out of their way, they will be destroyed on the rocks (the principle of God’s law) because they will not let God’s word guide them.
A Spiritual principle.
A spiritual principle: can be where God commands us not to fornicate, because it is a sin unto death (Exodus 20:14) Thou shall not commit adultery.
The word of God is a lighthouse to show us the danger. All sins are outside the body except this sin of fornication. Marriage is a blood covenant sealed when the hymen is broken.
Pre- and extra marital intercourse is a sin. (Malachi 2:14) The Lord is witness between you and your wife, thy wife of the covenant. God ordained the institute of marriage for perfect unity.
God does not have to kill you, the principle will. Your soul dies and if you do not repent from sin, your body will die as well. For the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God, as tender in the matters of His worship as the husband is of the honour of the marriage-bed. Jealousy is called the rage of a man (Proverbs 6:34).
The Greatest Principle is Love:
Our God is love. God promises us that nothing will separate us from His love.
Romans 8:39 Yeshua- Jesus was the expression of God’s great love for us. God sowed Yeshua as our saviour. In Hebrews 1:13 we read that Yeshua had, by offering Himself, accomplished our cleansing of sin and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of God, after He died for us, because the greatest kind of love is the "Sacrificial love".
In the old Testament times, when a burnt offering is killed, its head is severed, the fat removed, and the entrails and legs washed. Then, everything is placed on an altar and burnt, and the sacrifice is a sweet aroma to God. All this speaks of the death of Yeshua, who has "given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma". (Ephesians 5:2)
The head of the sacrificed animal speaks of the mind of Christ offered as a covering for our minds. This means that although our minds are often clouded with unbelief, worries, foolishness, filth and human reasoning, God treats us as if we have the mind of Christ, without wrong or displeasing thoughts, bringing pleasure to Him like a sweet aroma.
The fat of the animal speaks of the riches of Christ, His best, for God equates the fat of something with the best of that entity. (Genesis 45:18) The fat of the burnt sacrifice speaks of Yeshua giving us His riches, His best, as our covering. So God does not see us in our lack, but in the riches and excellence of Jesus going up to Him as a sweet aroma.
The entrails or intestines speak of Yeshua’ motivations, feelings, affections and desires. We often feel fearful, anxious, stressed out or angry (and it affects our stomach and intestines). But God sees only Yeshua’ feelings and desires, which are always pure, beautiful and acceptable to Him — a sweet aroma.
The legs refer to Yeshua’ perfect walk, His power to serve and obey the God the Father, imputed to our weak and faltering walk. And the fact they are washed shows that even our crooked walk has been cleansed.
God does not see your foolish mind, weak nature, inadequate feelings or faulty walk. Instead, He sees you in the perfection of His Son, who gave Himself up for you as a sweet-smelling sacrifice to God.
So then love God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength and your neighbour as yourself. We sacrifice our desire to satisfy the lusts of our flesh, our desire to praise and glorify ourselves and our desire to serve something we can see. We follow the commandment of Yeshua, to love God above all else and to love one another. God is love and if we practice that commandment (principle) we are in His perfect will. You will automatically practice the Ten Commandments if you do just that.
John 14:15: If you love me, keep my commandments.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish (die), but have everlasting life.
John 14:23: Yeshua (Jesus) answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Romans 8:39: neither the world above nor the world below; there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Yeshua (Jesus) our Lord.
If you disobey a principle of God, it is not God that is going to punish or kill you, but the principle. For example, a fish jumping out of the water onto dry land, it is not the jumping or the disobedience of leaving the water, which is going to kill the fish, but the principle of breathing. Fish are created to breath under water, not out of water.
So if the fish stays out on dry land, he will die of lack of oxygen. If he jumps back into the water, he lives, if not, certain death. Cause of death, "principle." If the fish had stayed inside God’s principle (water), he would be still alive. The same applies to us, if we stay within God’s laws, His spiritual principals; we are safe and will prosper.
Matthew 6:33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
In our modern society we know almost everything about life, yet there are many who do not know how to live life. Every alternative lifestyle to Yeshua and His kingdom has either broken down, is breaking down or will break down. The present chaos and confusion in life is a result of mankind having missed it. People do not understand that we need to live through Yeshua and by His kingdom principles.
This is what Jonah reaped!
Example of sow and reap!
If you sow good seed you will reap good seed, if you do not sow any seed, you will not reap any. God can only work and honour His Word, or his principles. If you sow to the flesh you will reap whatever you have sowed. If you had unprotected sex, and you get pregnant the Principle of sow and reap apply.
When you give your heart to Jesus, your life begins anew. Before you were saved, you sowed to the flesh. You will still reap from what you have sown, even though you are saved. For example if you have murdered a man and then got saved, you will still be prosecuted for murder.
If you decide that you want to save money in the bank (the flesh) and not in the Kingdom of God (spiritual), it would be your loss. Save by giving into the Kingdom of to God because your heart will be where your treasure is. All that you have comes from God and is His.
1 Corinthians 10:26: For the earth [is] the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.
This principle tests our attitude and faith in God. The thief can come and steal all your earthly treasures but if you save heavenly treasure through obedience it cannot be stolen.
- Running from God; Jonah's disobedienc!
Have you ever wondered why Jonah ran from the word of the Lord that told him to go to Nineveh? Why did Jonah choose to run from God instead of obeying Him? Jonah was a prophet of God and knew God .
- Trust the living God!
Much of life is placed beyond our control and from the moment of our birth we have no option - but to trust. The reason to trust depends on circumstances, but it is God that gives life.
- Do real men cry?
Have you ever seen a man cry? What reaction or emotion is there when you see a man cry? According to this world, it is an emotion seen by the weaker sex, woman.
