The greatest crown ever made by man

Updated on April 1, 2018

Kings and queens are known to wear crowns and the value of a crown may be used to measure the wealth of a king or a queen. Many kings have come and gone; and many kings are still in power and they have their crowns of different values. Some of the crowns are of inestimable value to a king that they pass it from generation to generation. This is because of what the crown represents and it is usually made by experts in the art of beauty. Then have we ever asked or wonder, which of the crowns is or was the greatest crown ever made by man? Most of the crowns used by kings are made with expensive stones, and gold therefore it is possible to know the worth of a crown by knowing what it cost to be made but the costliest crown may be not be the greatest crown .
A crown is a symbol of greatness and some great men that had ever lived did not wear any crown while they lived. Most of them were honored and crowned in their graves because of their achievements and their contributions to humanity. Therefore it becomes difficult to know the worth of a crown that exists but was never made, seen, or worn by man. No! I shall not exclude them neither shall I deny them of the crown they earned by their sweat and positive contributions to humanity. This is because most kings, and others that were in power and had a crown which they wore but they did nothing to justify their crowns. Truly most kings did nothing for humanity. A crown, which is a symbol of greatness, is not made only to be worn but also to be used as a tool to direct others towards positive end. Most kings were brutal and they enslaved others with the power of their crown. Has it been long that men started waking up from their sleep? Yet many are still asleep, “wake up from your sleep and slump, oh! Ye men of the earth” (from the book “It is time we truly know why Jesus wept at the grave of Lazarus”).

That was why I once asked, “How would the world be, if some men had not stood, struggled, fought, and even died for the freedom, peace, justice, and unity humanity enjoy today in most places?” This is because it was those men that woke up from their sleep that stood and fought for the freedom and independence of nations. It was men that stood and fought for equity and justice for women and children. Men stood and fought against slavery, apartheid, and racism. It was men that struggled for your religious freedom and equity. Men fought and many are still fighting for your liberty, justice, peace, and religious tolerance. Most of them had no crown and they wore no crown at the beginning yet they gave humanity a new beginning. All these men deserve the crowns which they earned by their pains, sufferings, struggles, and for being isolated from the crowd. Most of the struggle came in the cause of each new religious beginning because each religious movement had their time of pain, suffering, and isolation. That is why an unborn child, exclaimed and asked, “Why the persecuted must always become the persecutor?” Now I joined the child to exclaim and ask, “Why would men not learn from their own pains and from history?”
Truly all those men deserve a great crown because they fought and paid the price worth of a crown. However, most of the crowns they earned were neither made nor worn.

Therefore, the greatest crown that was ever made by man and was worn by man was that crown made of thorns. I am not preacher but let us remember the book of Matthew 27:29, KJV “and when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him and mocked him, saying, hail king of the Jews!” The new student bible read, “…and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head…” The crown was made of thorns and he felt the pains of the crown yet he held his spirit high because he knew that the crown was the crown of glory. And the reward of the glory will bring men back to his father so he did not step back neither did he deny the crown despite the pains, harms, and sufferings of wearing the crown. He wore the crown because it is the greatest crown ever made by man. A crown of exaltation, love, peace, justice, and unity; those that made the crown made it so simply that they only had to twist it together. They crowned him with the crown of thorns and mocked him. They did not know that it is a crown glory and the crown was that simple crown they made of thorns which is the greatest crown ever made by man.

Therefore, let us hold onto our desire for a happy family, marriages, and success despite the struggles that are before us. Above all let us continue in our effort towards a positive end for all humanity despite the thorns that may be found in our path because we must learn to overcome the pains of the thorns, if we are to be found worthy of wearing a great crown. You always have to remember that “as tender lily pushes its way through the soil and thrive in beauty and glory amidst of thorns” so shall you push on and rise among thorns to be seen as a light among men. For surly, “joy will come in the morning.” That is the joy of the crown, the crown that is made of thorns. Let us remember that we could be mocked and called fools for working for the interest of all but let us once again also remember that the crown was so simply made that those that made it thought they were making a fool of him but they never knew that they have truly made him a king and they unwittingly made the greatest crown. They only had to twist the crown together; they made it without any gold or precious stones. They only made it of thorns and they mocked him in the crown but that same crown is today the greatest crown ever made and worn by man.
