FC Luzern celebrating a goal
FC Aarau 4-2 FC Luzern
Aarau got their first win of the season in a big way as they scored four goals in a 23 minute period in the first half. Luzern jumped on the board first when Oliver Bozanic scored in the eighth minute. That is when Aarau took over as Oliver Jackle 13th minute, Remo Staubli 21st minute, Davide Calla 33rd minute and Artur Ionita 36th minute all scored for the home club. Bozanic would score his second goal in the 40th minute for Luzern. Six goals were scored in the first half so the fans were looking for more in second half. That didn't happen as play got dirty. Eight yellow cards were given out during the second half with Dimitar Rangelov of Luzern getting two of them.
Scott Sutter of BSC Young Boys
Lausanne Sport 1-3 BSC Young Boys
The Young Boys went into Stade Olympique La Pontaise and shocked the home club in the first half. Gonzalo Zarate got things started in the second minute with his goal, Raphael Nuzzolo would follow that with his own goal in the 19th minute. Scott Sutter would make it 3-0 Young Boys after his goal in the 40th minute. They would take that lead into the half. Lausanne would not have to wait long for a goal as Yannis Tafer scored in the 46th minute to kick off the second half. There would be no more scoring as the road club won 3-1.
Dennis Hediger FC Thun
FC Thun 3-2 FC St. Gallen
Arena Thun was the place to be as Thun hosted St. Gallen. Dennis Hediger got the home club going in the 25th minute with his goal. Thun would not keep the lead long as Alhassane Keita would level it five minutes later. St. Gallen would take the lead in 42nd min when Marco Mathys scored to give the road club a 2-1 lead. Thun would level it before half as Sekou Sanogo Junior scored right before half time. The home fans would have to wait till the 67th minute of the match to cheer as their club took the lead with a goal from Josef Martinez. Thun would hold on and take three points with their 3-2 win.
Grasshoppers Zurich 1-1 Basel
Letzigrund Stadion was ready for this match-up featuring two of the top clubs in the Super League. Basel jumped on the board first with a goal from Fabin Schar. The Grasshoppers would go into the half down 1-0 and shaking their heads. They wouldn't wait long in the second half as Izet Hajrovic scored in the 48th minute to level the score at 1-1. Neither club would score again as the first match-up between these two powerhouses would end in a draw.
FC Sion 0-0 FC Zurich
Nothing really exciting happened in this match. Both clubs played good defense and held both offenses in check. Yellow cards where thrown out in plenty as Zurich picked up four while Sion got two. The fans that came out to Stade Tourbillon were a little disappointed in Sion's effort but at least they took a point.
