John Anthony Felix Cena has dominated the WWE for the past decade as a high main-event calibre talent and the all-around Face of WWE. From his historic matches with The Rock at Wrestlemania to his countless matches with Randy Orton, all the way to his recent classics with AJ Styles and Kevin Owens; John has shown to WWE Universe that he is without a doubt the biggest WWE Superstar to step foot in a WWE ring for the past decade. In his illustrious 15-year WWE Career John Cena has accomplished so many things thus far. As we all know at 2017 Royal Rumble Pay-per-view John Cena officially tied 2-time WWE Hall of Famer, The Nature Boy, Ric Flair with 16 world title wins. A feat which only Ric and John have accomplished in wrestling thus far. John has won 13 WWE Championships in his career with his last WWE Championship reign occurring in 2017 after defeating AJ Styles at the 2017 Royal Rumble and 3 World Heavyweight Championships with his last reign occurring in 2013 after defeating Alberto Del Rio at the 2013 Hell In A Cell Pay-per-view. He has employed 5 United States Title Wins with his last one occurring in 2015 after defeating Seth Rollins at the Night Of Champions Pay-per-view. He has been a 4-time tag team champion (2-time world tag team champion and 2-time WWE tag team champion), along with being a former Money In The Bank Contract Holder and a 2-time Royal Rumble Winner. He has won several Slammy Awards such as 3-time Superstar of The Year in 2009, 2010 and 2012. John Cena also holds the record for having the fourth highest number of combined days as WWE Champion. Finally, John has main-evented Wrestlemania 5 times in his career as well as many other WWE Pay-per-views.

As many people may know already John Cena is a rapper and hip-hop musician. His rap album called "You Can't See Me" debuted over 10 years ago and was immediately placed at number fifteen on the Billboard 200 and sold over 150,000 copies in the first week. The album features his infamous entrance song, "The Time Is Now" which he has used as his entrance song for the past decade which features John and Musician Tha Trademarc. The album also features "Basic Thuganomics" which was his entrance theme before his current theme while he was portraying his "Doctor of Thuganomics" character. In 2014, John along with rapper Wiz Khalifa recorded two singles "All Day" and "Breaks" for the WWE 2k15 video game soundtrack.

When John Cena started out his wrestling career, he was called "The Prototype" which meant that he basically looked like the perfect WWE Superstar. He made his journey to become a professional wrestler in 1999 at UPW's (Ultimate Pro Wrestling) Califonia School, "Ultimate University" created by Rick Bassman. The character, the prototype was a semi-robotic type character. He went on to win the UPW Heavyweight Championship for 27 days in April of 2000. He wrestled a few dark matches for WWE in 2000 and then went on to be signed by the WWE's Developmental Territory, OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling). There he trained alongside top WWE Superstars, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, Batista and Samoa Joe. He continued his prototype character and won the OVW Heavyweight Championship in 2001 and the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship for two months with Rico Constantino. He finally made his television debut in June of 2002 answering an open challenge by Kurt Angle by embracing the Ruthless Aggression attitude which the company was portraying as their era. It was a very impressive match which Kurt Angle won but John Cena earned a lot of respect of the WWE Universe and even WWE Legend The Undertaker who confronted him backstage and shook his hands.

John Cena has appeared on several television shows in his career while in WWE. In June 2007, he was featured on the ABC reality series, Fast Cars and Superstars: The Gillette Young Guns Celebrity Race making it to the final round of the series before being eliminated on June 24 placing third in the competition. Also, in 2007 he was on CNN for a CNN Special Investigations Unit documentary, Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling, which focused on steroid and drug use in professional wrestling When asked if he had taken steroids he was heard to reply, "I can't tell you that I haven't, but you will never prove that I have". After the documentary aired WWE accused CNN of taking the comments of John Cena out of context to present a biased view for the documentary as they left out a part from the documentary where John Cena responded to the question saying "absolutely not". He has also appeared on the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards in 2008 and 2017. He currently has a show on FOX called "American Grit" which is a reality show with ten episodes A $1 million USD prize was given to the winning team. American Grit premiered on Fox on April 14, 2016. Cena has been retweeting motivational tweets from his followers on Twitter who used the hashtag #ShowYourGrit, in a way that the fan did something motivational to his/her friends in a real-life scenario. The finale of Season 1 aired on June 9, 2016.
