5 Takeaways From Monday Night Raw - 7/23/18

Updated on July 24, 2018

This is my series, simply known as "5 Takeaways", where I will share my personal main talking points coming out of Raw and SmackdownLive.

These are all my opinion, so I may miss a nugget or two. If you have something to add to my list, or a list of your own, feel free to share in the comment section below!

We are a group of long-time wrestling fans living in the Tri-State area. We have results, news, and so much more!

Rollins Gets Another Rematch

I don't mean to be a "Debbie downer" here, but I'm sort of over this feud now. I mean, Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler always put on excellent matches, but we've seen them fight, over and over again. They have another rematch scheduled for Summerslam, and I'm just hoping there's a stipulation added, such as it being a ladder match.

Of course, this could be just a way for Dean Ambrose to make his awaited return. The Lunatic Fringe can always end up interfering in the match, whether to help Rollins or cost him.

Sasha & Bayley Reunite; Future Betrayal Imminent?

Oh dear, we've seen this before. Sasha Banks and Bayley are friends again. After the announcement of the first-ever all women's show, it seems quite possible the two could have their big match there.

If that is the case, we could be seeing plenty of tag team action and the pair accompanying one another to the ring for their matches. At some point, one will turn on the other for good, and we can finally get this feud going (we can only hope).

Women's Pay-Per-View Announcement is Awesome For Everyone

Wow, this is such an incredible feat. Remember the Divas title that absolutely no one cared about? Now we've already had two women's money in the bank matches, a royal rumble, and an elimination chamber. It's only fitting that the incredible female talent get to host their own pay-per-view event.

Ironically, this announcement comes only months after the women were not allowed to compete at the Greatest Royal Rumble event. Not a bad consolation prize, huh?

Kevin Owens Should Slay the Monster

In my opinion, Kevin Owens should have won the Money in the Bank briefcase to begin with. His character is a perfect one to be looming in the shadows, waiting patiently for the perfect opportunity to cash in.

Unfortunately, Braun won it and has been tormenting Owens ever since. However, these two will have a match at Summerslam, with the aforementioned briefcase on the line. This would be such a great victory for Owens, since he hasn't been taken seriously in a couple of months. By hook or by crook, KO should win this match and eventually cash it in (either on Brock Lesnar or Roman Reigns).

Do you think the Evolution pay-per-view will be a success?

Reigns vs Lesnar at Summerslam... What a HUGE surprise

Oh boy, we saw the absolute twist of 2018 with our main event. Roman Reigns overcame all the odds and somehow was victorious in this David vs Goliath battle! He will go on to face Lesnar at Summerslam for the Universal title, what a fresh matchup!

All jokes aside, there isn't much to say here. After a very good match, we received our expected outcome, and we'll be getting Roman vs Brock #4 (I believe). Nobody should be excited for it, but hopefully another superstar or two (maybe Lashley) will be added later on, and whoever is holding the briefcase could always cash it in by the end of the show as well. Let's just hope WWE has something creative in store, or else this will be a snoozefest.
