5 Takeaways From SmackdownLive - 6/5/18
This is my series, simply known as "5 Takeaways", where I will share my personal main talking points coming out of Raw and SmackdownLive.
These are all my opinion, so I may miss a nugget or two. If you have something to add to my list, or a list of your own, feel free to share in the comment section below!

Sin Cara/Almas is Actually Interesting
I may be in the minority, but I am very interested in this feud between Sin Cara and Andrade Cien Almas. Sin Cara stated in an interview that he viewed Almas like a brother, before being interrupted by Zelina Vega, who mentioned that the two will face off next week. Almas then ambushed the masked man from behind to end the segment.
Cien Almas has looked good in his squash matches (as does his Hammerlock DDT finisher), but Zelina Vega has been tremendous for him. Her mic work is excellent, and she makes the pair easy to hate. The outcome of next week's match is obvious, but the promo work from Vega will be something to look out for.
New Day Get One Over on The Miz... Again
I wrote about the New Day in last week's edition (which you should absolutely go check out if you haven't already done so), but it's worth mentioning again. In the main event, New Day took on the trio of The Miz, Samoa Joe, and Rusev. The end of this match saw the two big men abandon their team after Miz accidentally hit them with pancakes, followed by the two laying out the "A-Lister", leaving him on his own to take the loss.
The trio are absolutely on fire at the moment heading into Money in the Bank. It will be very interesting to see which of the three enter into the match, and if it's possible he could actually win the briefcase (my guess would be no). Either way, they are possibly the hottest act on Smackdown right now, and their momentum (especially over The Miz) has sky-rocketed over the past few weeks.
Where is this Paige/Mandy Rose/Sonya Deville Thing Going?
Maybe I'm looking too much into it, but I find it interesting how General Manager Paige is always involved with her former Absolution teammates. She is clearly getting on the bad side of Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, and it is only a matter of time before something happens.
Obviously Paige can no longer wrestle, so a match between the three is out of the question. However, there could always be a storyline with Rose and Deville demanding to be traded back to Raw. Maybe this will not lead to anything at all, but their situation just seems a little strange to me.
Styles is Still Too Emotional
In a very unique segment involving a backstage contract signing, Shinsuke Nakamura trolled AJ Styles and got under the champion's skin once again. In the buildup to their Wrestlemania match, the Rockstar told Styles he wouldn't win because he is too emotional. While Nakamura didn't win the title that night, the Phenomenal One continued to show how easily frazzled he can get, over and over again.
The same thing happened here, and one can only wonder if this will finally be Nakamura's chance to beat Styles and finally take the WWE championship for himself.
How should Becky Lynch's character move forward?
Becky Submits Charlotte
In a solid (albeit somewhat disappointing) matchup, Becky Lynch finally got some momentum, with a submission victory over the former women's champion, Charlotte Flair. The match itself was good, with Lynch eventually sinking in the Dis-Arm-Her for the win.
The Irish redhead has been doing absolutely nothing for the longest time, and in my opinion, needs to win the briefcase and turn heel. Only time will tell if she will finally be used for something meaningful, or continue to waste away in the Smackdown women's division as the most underused superstar in the company.
