Tour de France in 2010

In only a couple of weeks the 2010 Tour de France will be upon us.

The Tour De France is here again to entertain all us cycle lovers. Every year for about three decades now Ive made a point of watching segments of the Tour De France on Television. My secret wish though has always been to participate in it. A number of Aussies have won stages and come close to winning the event. Each time they do i am inspired to jump onto my $800 bike and start training. Maybe if i was 10 or 12 years old again i could be in with chance of reaching the acquired level of fitness with say five years of concerted training. One should though never give up ones aspirations you only need look no further than Lance Armstrong's gargantuan efforts in re emerging from life threatening cancer to re-merge and go onto to win the marathon two week cycling event several years in a row.
