Brees is the New Sexy Sorry Sanchez

Updated on January 5, 2010
Not so sexy Sanchez
Not so sexy Sanchez

It was a "Brees"

Drew Brees lead the Saints over the 3-0 Jets in a 24-10 victory putting the Saints at 4-0. Completing 20-of-32 passes for 190 yards and no touchdowns. These numbers are  not all that impressive from Brees but he did complete 62.5 % of his passes.

While the rookie Sanchez played like well, a rookie; losing 1 fumble and throwing 3 interceptions.

Brett Favre

Looked really good against his former team the Green Bay Packers last night. If I hadn't started this article Sunday night I would have named it after him. The "old man" has still got quite an arm throwing for 271 and 3 touchdowns in true showboating fashion beating his former team 30-23. But don't let the score fool you, the Vikings dominated this game from the start while the Packers held on for dear life.

Best Teams

  1. Saints
  2. Colts
  3. Giants
  4. Vikings
  5. Broncos

Josh McDaniels Is an idiot! Oh wait what they are 4-0?

The Denver Broncos looked to be a joke going into the season. The constant turmoil that followed the Mike Shanihan firing resulting in the hiring of Josh McDaniels, trade of franchise quarterback Jay Cutler, and antics of bad boy Brandon Marshall. For observers it looked like the hyped Josh McDaniel’s NFL debut would be a flop and Broncos far worse than they were the season before. However with a huge improvement to the defense, a dual headed running game, and a well-behaved Marshall ,the Broncos are a surprising 4-0, leaving critics silenced.

Worst Teams

  1. Rams - 24 points in 4 weeks. Most teams can do that in ONE game.
  2. Bucs
  3. Chiefs
  4. Raiders
  5. Lions - Have given up the most points in the NFL.

Will the Real Steve Smith Please Stand up?

Carolina's Steve Smith is in danger of becoming "the other Steve Smith."

                                         0      Touchdowns   4

*Steve Smith CAR has only played 3 games due to a week 4 bye.

Love

Ben Roethlisberger - Nice to see him back in 2007 form.

Kevin Jones - The little engine that could. Despite being limited due to a shoulder injury he scored twice against Chicago in week 4.

Derrick Anderson being the starter again in Cleveland.

Titans 0-4

Brett Favre's Success

Hate

Clinton Portis - has yet to get in the end-zone this season

Rashard Mendenhall - His huge game out of no where caused me to suffer one of two losses out of my 11 teams this week.

St. Louis Rams- Why Steven Jackson resigned to this horrible franchise is beyond me (loyalty?). I hate to see who I personally feel is the NFL best running back's talent wasted in what appears to be a hopeless situation.

JaMarcus Russell - I wish I could get paid millions to SUCK! Reports have it not only his is performance bad but his work ethic is terrible frequently missing or showing up to team events late. They are better off with Joey Harrington or maybe trading for Vince Young.

Trent Edwards - You should swap spots with Kyle Boller.

Drew Brees may have lead the Saints to a victory last week but Sanchez is still sexiest QB around! The stage is set for Sanchez. All eyes will be on him Monday night in a nationally televised game against the Dolphins in Miami. And he certainly has the tools to shine in the spotlight against a Dolphins defense that ranks dead last in the NFL with 8.7 yards allowed per pass attempt. Not that I am a Jet fan (but with Mark at the helm I just may one)

Oh and Dohn121 just want to clarify for some who may not have unsderstood that Steve"the Gift" Smith is a GIANT!!! Go BLUE!

oh boy, Brett Favre...where do I start lol I think he's a great quaterback, there's no denying that, but if you're gonna retire (and no I really don't care WHY) stay retired for God's sakes! Sheesh. I just have issues w/ athletes (any really) who retire, come back, retire, come back. Hated when MJ did it, hated when the Rocket did it and Hate it when Favre does it. OK...done ranting lol

Rams all the other teams have some hope.

I know Steve Smith has been amazing. Thanks, the Jags may have found a receiver also.

Okay, repeat after me: Steve "The Gift" Smith is for real. He is the league leader in receptions, yards, and touchdowns!!! Also, there is only ONE L.T. and he's retired and in the Hall of Fame...I look forward to when we face the Saints, come Week 6.

Thanks for the update...Oh, congrats on Jax, BTW...I guess that either the Rams, Bucs, Browns, Titans or the Chiefs are set to get the Number One Draft Pick...
