Destin is home to the largest privately owned commercial fishing fleet, and is well equipped to handle your fishing desires. Whether your schedule allows for a couple hours out on a pier, or a whole day out at sea trying your luck, you can rest assured that the captains, crews, and all hands are there to be helpful and friendly. Destin fishing charters are a great way to relax as well, as everything is generally taken care of for you. Just show up, hop on board, and the captain and crew does the rest. Most vessels have onboard convenience items for sale, such as drinks, food, and cameras, as well as modern conveniences such as full bathrooms. Most of the sightseeing boats come equipped with glass bottoms for better views of the sea life. So plan a trip for the office, church group, birthday party, bachelor party, or other special occasion, most charters can handle a large crowd. Fishing Types Available

Bay fishing: bay fishing is done with light tackle, live bait, and in black and shallow water. Usual caught are trout, redfish, sheephead, flounder, ect.

Inshore Trolling: trolling close to shore with 3-4 lines out, the boat is always in motion. Usual caught are king mackerel, Spanish mackerel, barracuda, bonito, ect.

Offshore Trolling: Longer trip than inshore, also out at sea. Usual caught are mahi mahi, wahoo, marlin, sailfish, black fin tuna, ect.

Shark Fishing: gulf fishing, targeting sharks. Usually caught are mako, bull, blacktip, tiger, dusky, and sandbar sharks.

Bottom Fishing: deep water, out at sea, with live of cut bait, usually targeting reefs or wrecks. Usually caught are snappers, groupers, triggers, amberjacks (greater and lesser).

Overnight Trips: longer trips that usually go after marlin, swordfish, and yellow fin tuna.
