Man UTD sign Van De Beek

Ajax attacking midfielder Donny Van De Beek has signed a 5 year deal at Old Trafford in a deal worth up to £45m.

The 23 year old has played for Ajax since 2008 when ye joined the youth team from Veensche Boys Youth. He has also played for the Netherlands since under 17’s level in 2013 until 2017 when he started his career with the first team. At Ajax Van De Beek won one Eredividie title, one KNVB Cup and a Dutch Super Cup. The Dutchman was a huge standout in Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi finals last year where they lost to Spurs in a huge game for both clubs.

The Dutch international becomes Manchester United’s first signing of the summer after they failed with an attempt to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville told Sky Sports that ’Manchester United need quick additions ahead of the new Premier League season’. Neville says this believing that United need 4 or 5 more players on top of Van De Beek.

Manchester United have recently given Dean Henderson a huge 6 year contract with intentions of him challenging David De Gea for the number one spot at Old Trafford. This also looks like it will end Sergio Romero’s time in Manchester with him being linked with a move to Merseyside to play for Everton.

Manchester United will now be able to line up with a midfield of Paul Pogba, Bruno Fernandes and Donny Van De Beek. This could developer into one of the best midfield three’s in the world or it could cause to attacking, only time will tell. I can tell you that it will be a very exciting team to watch next season as Manchester United are also back in the Champions League.

Manchester United will also be looking for more deals before the deadline is here and have been linked to huge names such as Jadon Sancho and Dayot Upamencano however both transfer might be delayed until next year so that they can get the funds together and also allow their scouts to gain more information on both players and also alternatives for cheaper asking prices.

Jadon Sancho is said to be interested in the move to Old Trafford but Dortmund are unwilling to sell unless Man United offer their asking price.
