Women Who Love To Go Fishing
Fishing Chicks
There is a sort of unspoken assumption that only real men like to fish. That is so far fetched, or should I say OLD FASHIONED? I am here to tell you that a great number of women, young and old and everyone in the middle, just LOVE the sport of fishing. I am in my 50's and I have been chasing "the big one" for a good 40 years. It all started with the bullheads my older brother caught. I wanted to do that too.
I have girlfriends who go with me to fish on a regular basis and we catch and clean our MESS. We drive our own boats, not the one that belongs to the hubby, or our Father's. We have boats and we use them to fish from.
We like to go fishing at Lake Michigan because of the abundance of fish and hot spots. We harbor the boat in East Chicago, Indiana and try to make our way for a weekend or a day or just a few hours as often as possible during warm weather. We fish in the cold there too, and I am here to tell you it can get pretty cold on the lake.
Female Fishing Frenzies
Fishing With My Girlfriends
We like to go fishing! We go every chance we get. It does not matter if we fish from the bank for big Blue Gills or take the boat out on Lake Michigan. Fishing is a great recreation for women of all ages. I tried to include a series of photos here to express the serious interest of getting our lines in the water.
I have been fishing with all kinds of women and we have a blast when we get outside and wet the lines. We do not always catch fish but we do always have a wonderful time trying. We keep a lot of the fish. We cook them up for special parties or just make a meal for the taking. No matter what, we love to fish and we are the very proof that fishing is not just for men. In fact there are many guys who love to tag along because they too enjoy catching fish and what a blast they have when they go with us. We are knowledgeable but always still learning and we are always open to try a new lure or a new bait. We take pride in our search for the big one but we enjoy it all.
A half day out on Lake Michigan trolling is so much fun and you never know what you will catch. Then again you might not catch a thing. Sure fact is it will be a joy just to get out of the house and spend some time with good friends. We laugh till we cry and we work at the sport all the way. We love to fish and we love to share the catch with our families and friends.
Blue Gills are fun on a hot afternoon and they will keep you busy when they are biting hard. You can bait the hook a hundred times in an hour when these little monsters are on a feeding frenzy.
Salmon and Trout will wear your arms out if you snag a good one and have to reel them in from 100 yards out. You really feel good when you have that fish in the net and it is laying on the floor of your boat. "Fish On" is what we scream when the line is triggered and the fight begins. Women love it as much as the men and there is no denying them.
Ice Fishing is also a blast for the middle of winter and a game, group of girls. Give them a little hole in the ice and watch them work. Women can yank a fish up through the ice just as quick as the next man and cleaning them up is not a problem. Perch Too....
We took a couple out last summer when the Yellow Perch were storming our baits. This turned out to be a great day on Lake Michigan and the one man was no match for any of the three women. We wiped up on those Perch like bees on honey. To make the guy feel a little better about catching the fewest and the smallest fish we treated him to a pizza after all the fish cleaning was over. The proof is in the photos provided here. Women Love Fishing as much as men do.
