Only one gets to hold this high!

2015 is here and March madness has broken out!

Here we are folks, in March Madness! This is the wildest sport extravaganza of the year, and who doesn't love it? Unknown players hit huge shots, the stars bring their A games, the announcers ramp up their game, and of course, the coaches dig deep into their "bag of tricks". All of this makes for great theater and epic battles. I have a feeling that this one will be among the best in the last 12-20 years. I am ready, and I hope to get you and your brackets ready!

What giants are going far?

We all suspect that Kentucky is going deep. Their 2 seed is Kansas, and no do not think that the Wildcats will even face them. The Jay Hawks won't be there in the 4th round. Yes, I said 4th. The first round starts Thursday, NOT Wednesday! As much as I like W.V., pick Kentucky for the final four.

Wisconsin, Villanova, Gonzaga, and Notre Dame are going far. They are solid picks until they face U.K.. Kentucky will not win it all, but they are coming close to it!

What high seeds are going home early?

Kansas is going down but to who, you may ask. I think that the Wichita State Shockers are taking them out in round 2. If Kansas some how finds a way past them, they are not getting past the fighting Irish of N.D.

Duke is going to have their hands full in round 2 if St. John's gets past S.D. State, and I think they will. I do not see Duke going to the Final Four this year either.

Who is making the surprise run?

I think this year's shocker is coming from the Big East. Providence and/or St. John's is going to explode. Xavier could as well. I have St. John's beating Duke and then losing, and I have Providence going to the Great 8. The Fryers will lose there, but probably not until.

I also have Valparaiso winning one. Coach Drew had one as a senior shooter, he wants one as a coach this year!

However, for those that want to see Kentucky go down, I see a few slim possibilities before they face Wisconsin. If W.Va gets super hot and Huggy Bear is ready, the Mountaineers have a shot.

If the winner of Wichita State and N.D. can hit a lot of threes, it could happen in the Great 8. The chance is slim, but we have seen bigger upsets.
