Why the WWE Will Forever Be Known As Paige's House

At the young age of 13 years old, Paige had her very first professional wrestling match. Another thirteen years later, she is known all around the world as one of the greatest female superstars the WWE Universe has ever seen. The life journey of Paige sure has had its up and downs, twists and turns, and highs and lows. However, when it all comes down to it, Paige is one of the most courageous and fearless individuals any of us will ever know.

When the young woman from Norwich, England made her debut on WWE television, you could tell that something special was happening in front of your eyes. Once you heard that loud shriek in the beginning of Paige's theme song and saw the WWE Universe jump out of their seats with excitement, you knew that a deserving NXT talent was living out a life-long dream.

That night, Paige defeated the top woman on the roster at that time, AJ Lee, and became the Divas champion on her very first night on the main roster. If that's not how you make your debut in the WWE, then I don't know what better way there is to. You can feel the adulation of Paige in that moment, and especially looking back on it now, there is no way that it doesn't make you smile.

Paige then defended her newly won Divas Championship against the likes of Brie Bella, Alicia Fox, Tamina Snuka, and Naomi, securing herself as one of the toughest women on the roster. The champion dominated through the women's division until her former adversary, AJ Lee, returned back to the title picture once again.

The two superstars would exchange title wins, even a SummerSlam title victory for Paige on her actual birthday for her second title reign. Fans could tell that their rivalry was something special to watch and their chemistry together was second to none. These two unique and different personalities were clashing to the point where fans weren't sure who would get the last laugh.

This memorable feud would then form a mutual respect for one another as they eventually teamed up to square off against the Bella Twins in Paige's very first WrestleMania match. After a fast-paced and entertaining battle, the emotion that Paige felt afterwards was captured on an episode of Total Divas.

It's sometimes hard to tell how much a moment means to WWE superstars as their emotions aren't shown on-screen for all of us to see. However, while watching that episode of Total Divas, you could see just how important that night was for Paige and how much having a match on "The Grandest Stage of Them All" meant to her.

For me personally, when I see how much love a superstar has for what they do in the ring, my level of respect for them reaches the highest point possible. That's exactly what happened to my respect level for Paige when I saw her emotions shown in that moment.

Nikki Bella felt that same way as she stated, "Paige's love for WWE makes you realize why I do what I do, and why I love it."

When your entire family is involved in the wrestling industry, it's more than just your career choice, it's more than just your job, and it's more than just getting paid money to perform for an audience. It's all about love. The love that Paige has for wrestling is absolutely mind-blowing. To share that bond with the members of your family is something beyond the word "special" and can never, ever be broken.

Paige's announcement that she can no longer wrestle in a WWE ring broke the hearts of every member of the WWE Universe. Not just because they couldn't watch Paige perform on their televisions anymore, but because a woman they have looked up to and admired is pouring her heart out about losing her dream--and her first love.

Like I stated earlier, my respect for Paige isn't just for her skills and abilities inside the squared circle. My respect for Paige is about the admiration and devotion that she has for the sport of professional wrestling. I will never forget the words she spoke during her retirement speech that completely took my breath away:

"I love this ring. I was born to be in this ring. This is my heart, this is my soul, and this is my blood."

When I heard those words from Paige's mouth, I truly and honestly believed every single one of them. Just as she hated to say goodbye to wrestling, we all hated to say goodbye to her.

The very next night, the WWE Universe got a huge surprise as Shane McMahon announced Paige as the new SmackDown Live GM. There was nobody better to take over the reigns as GM after Daniel Bryan, who is considered by Paige to be a huge inspiration to her. If there is anyone who knows EXACTLY how Paige feels right now, it's Daniel Bryan.

In her new role, Paige has quickly become one of the WWE Universe's favorite GM's of all time. Being able to see her every single week has made her fans extremely happy, which is what ultimately matters in the grand scheme of things.

BUT not only do Paige's fans get to see her live every Tuesday night, they also now get to see her every Wednesday night back on the hit reality series, Total Divas.

When you think about the beginning of when Total Divas was created, you would never in a million years expect to see Paige on it. It was an uncanny feeling when we saw that Paige, the anti-diva, was open to putting her personal life out there for the world to see.

However, getting to know her on a different level and understanding the personality of the woman outside of the ring, it gave fans the opportunity to appreciate her even more. Her love for professional wrestling, her admiration of her fellow women of WWE, and her outrageously fun personality came alive in front of all our eyes. The show opened the fans' minds as to who Paige REALLY was and increased every person's love for her.

Being off the show for a bit, Paige finally makes her return as the eighth season of Total Divas is now starting to air every Wednesday night on the E! Network. The friendships that she's developed over the last few years with The Bellas, Natalya, Naomi, Lana, and especially Nia Jax has been incredibly special during this time in Paige's career. These women know exactly how much love she has for the WWE and everything it represents.

Having close friends like that in the wrestling business wasn't something normal a number of years ago. However, times have changed. The women are uplifting each other to the point of making this Women's Evolution something memorable, and it's an unbelievable thing to witness.

I'm looking forward to watching this entire season to show my support for Paige and the rest of the amazing women of WWE.

With everything that has happened to Paige over the past few years, she has shown how incredibly strong of a person she really is. When the cards were stacked up against her, she overcame all her obstacles and is still one of the most beloved WWE superstars that has ever graced our television screens.

Her fans always stayed true to her and her fellow women of the WWE have placed all their support behind her. It shows the amount of respect that we all have for the heart and soul of Paige. She's a fighter, she's a warrior, and she's a role model for those who need the extra motivation to defy the odds of overcoming something in life that tears you down. The one word that is coming to mind when thinking of Paige in this very moment is none other than....respect.

The former 13-year-old prodigy from England has lived her life to the absolute fullest, sought out her dream of becoming a WWE superstar, and has created a fan base all around the world that truly admires her.

Thank you, Paige, for the years of entertainment you brought to me and to every single person on this earth that has watched you do what you love. Although it was only four years on the main roster of WWE, they were four remarkable years that any aspiring superstar would appreciate having in their career.

Regardless of what the future holds, the WWE ring will forever be known as YOUR house!
