Waterproof Your Dance

With the new technology of waterproof headphones and waterproof cases for MP3 players, iPhones, iTouch and iPods, you can now listen to music while swimming, or dancing in the water!

Listen to Music on Your iPod while you Swim and Get Fit!

A lot of people swim to stay fit. It is a great exercise that will make you feel more energized and peaceful. It is also meditational. However, unlike running or biking, or lifting weights you cannot listen to music or an audiobook wile swimming. A lot of us look forward to exercise so we can keep listening to that audiobook, or listen more of the music to give us a break, but when we swim we have to do with the noise around the pool or sometimes whatever is played by the manager of the gym. Well, not anymore! That is right, there is a way to listen to your ipod, and catch up with all that music and all the podcasts you downloaded from iTunes while you swim, so you can have some fun with your exercise, and have some time off while you lose weight and get fit.

Waterproof music

Here is how; it is amazing that these are not yet common in swimming pools, but some top quality companies have actually manufactured waterproof headphones and waterproof iPod and iPod Classic and iPod nano cases that are great to use in the swimming pool or just anytime when you want to make sure your beloved mp3 player is safe from any kind of moisture or water. Here are some that you can compare:

Exercise is more fun with your own music

Here are top waterproof headphones and cases:

If you have an Ipod Touch, this is my favorite: OtterBox iPod Touch 2G / 3G Defender Case with Waterproof Headphones Kit. It is great that it comes with headphones, this way you don’t have to pay for it.

I have used OtterBox’s waterproof case for ipod classic with the wheel for years and never had a problem with it. In fact, if the pool was empty and I got tired of swimming I would dance!

Another option is the H2O Waterproof Housing for iPod classic. These are a little more stylish but also a little more expensive. I have never used it but have heard no complaints so far from those who have. So if style matters to you, that might be your choice.

Currently I am leaning towards the Overboard Underwater Waterproof Case with Headphones for iPhone / iPod Touch / HTC Droid / Nexus One. I like that this one comes with an armband, and the headphones.

Other waterproof headphone options are here:

H2O Audio Surge Waterproof Sport Headphones, these are very cute.

I have used Aquapac 100% Waterproof Headphones for the past couple of years and have been very happy with the quality of sound and the fit. I highly recommend them. Tip to save some cash:they are much cheaper on Amazon!
