Jubilation in Green Bay

Updated on September 30, 2012

A Victory More than Earned

Rejoice cheese-heads. You outlasted the cosmic powers seemingly aligned against you for a tough win against the Saints. No matter the Saints record that was still a very heavy hitting offense backed by Drew Brees at QB you just dodged.

After enduring an absolutely BRUTAL loss last week to the Seahawks you saw the "real" refs do their damnedest to take one away from you today. The Packers forced a fumble late in the first quarter, then watched in horror as the black and whites made a replacement-like call announcing the runner was down by contact. Replay clearly showed the fumble. Green Bay unfortunately had no challenges left since the refs had blown a challenge call earlier in the game. Feelings of dread must have crept into the sellout crowd. Green Bays defense forced a stop of 3rd down. Then after two penalties the Saints missed a 48 yard FG to take the lead. One James Jones circus catch later the Packers were winners after an undue amount of intrigue.

Enjoy your Discount Double Checks this week Packer fans. You earned it.

Good hub! Very crazy game again for the Packers. The Saints defense is awful and the Packers aren't much better. I really think the Falcons are the new class of the NFC. It's still too early to tell though, we have to see them actually play some good teams.
