List of Bizarre sports

I am sure most of you haven't heard about most of these before. Check this list of bizarre sports out.

Wife Carrying World Championship

Guys, do you like carrying your wife around? Then, this sport is for you.
Ladies, how would you like being carried by your husband and ultimately winning a world championship.

This world championship is held annually in Finland. By the way it can be done the other way around too i.e. wife carrying her husband all the way to the finish line.

This championship is really fun. See for yourself in the videos below.

Sepak Takraw

This sport involves sheer athleticism. So I have ranked it as bizarre for extreme athleticism involved in this game. Sepak Takraw or kick volleyball is native to Southeast Asia. It resembles volleyball except that it uses a rattan ball and only allows players to use their feet, knee, chest and head to touch the ball. You can see this game being played in the videos below.

Rock Paper Scissors League

The USA Rock Paper Scissors League (USARPS) is a US-based rock-paper-scissors league. It is sponsored by Bud Light. The winner of this game recieves US $50,000. See them playing it in the video below.

Unicycle Hockey

Any idea, how to make ice hocky more difficult? Play it on those single-wheel cycles. By the way it is not as easy to play this game as it seems in the video below.

Underwater Rugby

This sport is played in a swimming pool with approximately 4 meters depth. Both teams consist of 11 players each. Aim is to make a goal by getting the weighted ball into the opposing team's basket.
This video might give you an idea about how this game is played.

I was searching through HP for sepak takraw when I saw this hub of yours. I never even knew that you wrote this! I've seen the sport being played in my country, it's one of our regular youth sports. Watching them play, you'll think that the players are contortionists or something, they twist and turn every which way just to hit the ball. It's wonderful to watch actually :).

Wow. This is all new to me, but for some reason, I feel like I should be at least familiar with Sepak Tepraw, having been born in Laos. Thanks for sharing this fascinating hub!
