Nba 2019 Final Mock Draft
NBA Final Mock Draft 2019 Lottery Picks
#1 New Orleans Pelicans- Zion Williamson SF
Not much to explain here, consensus #1 pick all across the board. Zion might be the most talented prospect since LeBron James, and intends to build off that in New Orleans. Zion and Lonzo...that would be a fun duo to watch.
#2 Memphis Grizzlies- Ja Morant PG
With Conley being recently traded, this pick screams Ja Morant, which they will pick him indefinitely. Ja's athleticism screams Russell Westbrook, and we all know how good of a player Westbrook is. Plus, Morant and Jackson Jr, that could really be something.
#3 New York Knicks- RJ Barrett G/F
Knicks arguably get a #1 pick in another year, generational talent to pair along with Dennis Smith Jr., Mitchell Robinson, and Kevin Knox. RJ's comparison for me is honestly Kobe Bryant, both are lethal scorers, but RJ is not really a great play maker on offense and takes some curious shots
#4 New Orleans Pelicans- Jarrett Culver SG
Culver would fit in greatly with Lonzo Ball in the backcourt, although he might be a bench player behind Jrue Holiday for a couple years, he will be ready once he leaves. Plus, Culver has March Madness experience, which he could help tell his teammates
#5 Cleveland Cavaliers- Darius Garland G
Although Cavaliers have young stud Colin Sexton, Darius Garland could fit into the back court very nicely. We have seen teams have 2 point guards, notably the Portland Trailblazers, so this works out in Cleveland. This pick almost went to De'andre Hunter, but I don't really feel Cleveland needs a 3/D player.
#6 Phoenix Suns- Coby White PG
Phoenix has all the right pieces in Devin Booker, DeAndre Ayton, and Mikal Bridges, so they need a point guard. With Morant and Garland off the board, they take Coby White. If they draft Coby, maybe Suns could be a 7 seed if they get some good off season signings as well.
#7 Chicago Bulls- De'Andre Hunter SF
Probably the safest pick in the draft, and get defensive stud De'Andre Hunter who fits in with LaVine, and Lauri, which also might let the Bulls clear cap space by trading Otto Porter Jr. Although many mocks have Hunter going much higher, I feel he falls to Chicago at seven.
#8 Atlanta Hawks- Cam Reddish G/F
With the first of two of Atlanta's picks, they take Cam. Although he didn't really get much opportunities as a third option behind Zion and RJ and Duke, he is still a great player and fits right in with Trae Young and John Collins, so they take him.
#9 Washington Wizards- Jaxson Hayes C
Washington really needs everything besides a shooting guard, so they take Hayes. An elite rim protector, he averaged an impressive 2.2 blocks in college, and him and Beal could make a nice pick and roll game. Plus, Wizards are in full rebuild and have not had a quality center in quite some time.
#10 Atlanta Hawks- Nassir Little SF
I almost had Atlanta picking Sekou, but Nassir checks all the boxes to go to Atlanta, just super athletic and and great pick by Atlanta
#11 Minnesota Timberwolves- Sekou Doumbouya PF
Many people have compared him to a discount Kevin Love in Minnesota, and it looks like he would fit in next to Karl-Anthony Towns up front. I also think that he is a perfect mold for a future stretch four, but most international players are widely busts, except the Gasols, Dirk, and Doncic
#12 Charlotte Hornets- Brandon Clarke PF
Assuming Kemba stays, he needs help....a lot of it in fact. I think Clarke is a step in the right direction along with Miles Bridges as well.
#13 Miami Heat- Rui Hachimura F
Rui is one of the people I am concerned with in the draft, as his stock goes from all the way in top 10, to early 20's. He is a boom/bust prospect, with a large upside and is a project for Miami.
#14 Boston Celtics- Bol Bol C
With Al Horford leaving for Free Agency, Boston picks up big man Bol Bol to attempt to replace him. A future front court of Robert Williams and Bol Bol? I would love to watch that!
This is my mock for the Lottery Picks of the 2019 NBA Draft, thanks for looking!
