More Than A Hat-Trick
As well as scoring 3 goals in a single game, footballers are known to score more, with plenty of players having actually scored 4 goals, however there are 4 extra special players who have somehow defied the odds and scored an incredibly massive 5 goals in one single match, those players are: Andrew Cole, Alan Shearer, Jermain Defoe and Dimitar Berbatov. With only 4 people achieving this humongous goal tally just goes to show how difficult it is to do and why it very rarely happens in English football.
Will Alan Shearer EVER be overtaken?
Conclusion
OK, so as far as hat-tricks go, Alan Shearer is the god of them, but will he ever be caught? or even overtaken?!? Will ANYBODY EVER score more Premier League hat-tricks than him? It doesn't look likely but obviously anything can happen, with Wayne Rooney on 6 and still a good few years ahead of him, maybe he will? Nobody knows what will happen, but for now, lets just enjoy watching football in anticipation of seeing more people score HAT-TRICKS!
