Story of man fishing

A funny thing happened today

as I took a walk on a beautiful day.

I met this man with gorgeous

blue eyes,

that seemed to sparkle under

the skies.

He was all alone fishing

on this tiny pier.

He looked towards me as

I walked his way.

His body was muscular and quite tan,

He was obviously an outdoors man.

Hello he said as I approached closer,

Good morning I replied.

I stopped and noted his bucket of fish,

He smiled with pride.

He was a stranger and this I knew,

But my eyes were drawn to him like glue.

We chatted for a little while

as he continued to fish.

I imagined him going home

to cook a delicious dish.

He was friendly and charming

made me feel at ease.

He remarked his wife would be so pleased.

She loved fish he said, cooked any way,

and today he would cook it for her birthday.

I wished him a nice dinner and said goodbye

and thought of his wife and his dinner surprise.

A few weeks later I seen that same man

he was standing with his wife

at a vendor's fruit stand.

They had their arms around each other

as they picked out their fruit.

They were laughing and smiling

I'm not making this up,

I'm telling you the truth.

It just goes to show you

love still remains,

but if you don't open your heart

you have nothing but sadness

and yourself to blame.
